By each day I'm more convinced he is coming back. With Strama & Cassano here + MM actually likes this guy and likes having a plethora of class forwards.
Its weird you say that... I actually dreamed last night that we re-signed him. And I knew that was special because I usually dream about naked... Marge.

honestly, dont want him at inter, never want him to come back here, poor attitude, would be disruptive, bringing him back is a sign of weakness. we've got plenty of good young attackers, i'd rather we focused on a combination of developing them + signing the right players, than bringing back Balotelli.

He might be world class 1 in 5 games, but the rest of the time he's petulant and useless.

If he was even remotely decent, he'd be playing regularly at City. As it stands, every sub appearance he gets, people get less and less patient with him. Missing open nets, doing stupid shit, if City sell a player its (generally) because that player is wank.

Not with a fucking barge pole.

Why are people still fapping to him? I don't care where he goes. Even if he goes to Milan "the club of his childhood dreams" and plays for them with all his heart, he won't be anything special for them. His attitude is just not right to be a world class player. And I'm not referring to his womanizing and off field antics. Even on the pitch, he is always nonchalant and never committed to the cause of the team. Get over this guy, he is great entertainment and a talent but that's all that he is.

I'm not very fond of making excuses for athletes but you are selling Balotelli short way too much. I get that some people aren't over the whole shirt incident and there is still much proof about him having disruptive attitude but there is absolutely no reason to deny his quality.

Our ''plenty of good young attackers'' simply aren't in his class.

And even though Mancini likes him, I believe City is not a good environment for him to grow. He simply can not make a big jump unless they make him a central piece of the team just like Prandelli did.

Now, City doesn't have many reasons to do so simply because they have other elite options and there is no need to accommodate Balotelli but you just can't ignore his perfomances at Euro. It's not just the goals against Germany, he had an amazing tournament and showed great matureness and all round game. So your argument about him being world class 1 in 5 games doesn't really apply at all if we are talking about his play with the NT.

It's a good enough proof for me that Balotelli could shine if put in the similar position with us. We are not City and can't afford him, Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko at the same time so Balotelli would be a new leader of our offense. He is home grown, has some ties to Strama, gets along pretty well with Cassano and is a great fit next to him and is still very young. I'm having a hard time thinking of a better long term solution unless Livaja/Longo reach his class.

Yes, clearly Longo/Livaja/Garritano aren't on his level yet. No one is disputing that. But the question is, do we need a new guy now? I think Palacio-Milito-Cassano will be good for at least this season, most likely next season too. That means Livaja, Longo, etc, all have time to grow and develop.

Balotelli is not developing much at City, the fans get more and more frustrated with him as well. Yes, he had a great tournament in Europe, but how many times has he played that well for Italy aside from that? Not so few, but not loads either.

We cant afford to pay 25million for a player like Balotelli only to disappoint. I would much rather sign Palacio + Cassano than a Balotelli right now. Simple as that.

To be honest, I actually think Markovic on the left, Coutinho somewhere there too, and Longo could be a pretty damn formidible trident. Longo has all the attributes to succeed imho.

Balotelli plays well for the national team because he respects the shirt. He has said numerous times that he considers playing for Italy the highest honor. Even higher than a club like Inter and certainly a club like City. The reason he plays with maturity and consistency is because he puts his mind to it. He won't do it at City, and his performances so far this season show that. Whether he could do it in a better environment is debatable. Mancini and Mourinho have had trouble getting the best out of him. These aren't scrub coaches.

I think he should come back to Italy for different reasons. I think his play has regressed in England. His touch is less refined, his dribbles fail more and more often, and his long range free kicks are shit. He's only improved physically.

Not too sure where I would stand on Balotelli hypothetically coming back with us. Loved his performances for the national team, although he started off with some pretty shoddy performances (against Spain in particular), as the tournament went on he grew in stature and confidence. He had so many chances in the England game that he fluffed but he kept getting into scoring positions so it seemed only natural that he'd score sooner or later. Against Germany he justified Prandelli's selection. I think if he had consistent game time (rather than coming on as a second half sub) as a centre forward rather than on the wing where Mancini usually slots him he might start scoring again. When he played on Sunday he had at least two decent chances that he couldn't convert. He played a bit better today against Ajax and had a nice flick on for Aguero's goal. He was also arguably pulled down in the box at the last play of the game and denied a possible penalty. Its been quite a while since he's even scored for Man city in the league though, I'm not sure if its just a typical goal drought that strikers sometimes go through, lack of effort, Mancini's tactical setup or just plain incompetence on Mario's part. I have a soft spot for him but the guy's an enigma wrapped in a paradox. For now I'm happy with our current tridente of Milito, Palacio and Cassano.

Now that Strama and Cassano are here, I'd love him back. Ibra has issues too, but we can't dispute his qualities on the pitch.

Even after his garbage season, people still want him? This guy is probably the most overrated player in this forum.

By ''garbage season'' you didn't mean 2011.-2012. season right?

I will accept that the majority of Inter fans don't wish him to return due to his temperament.

I will accept that the majority of Inter fans don't wish him to return due to his profound love of AC.

I will accept that the majority of Inter fans don't wish him to return due to the disrespecting of our shirt. I will never forgive him for that.

BUT, I will not sit here and :yao: to the fans who believe he does not have enough talent to play for Inter.

No one with a sound mind would question Balotellis talent, because that is simply world class. However talent is not everything and he comes with alot of bagage which makes him not trustable

Adu and Balotelli are nothing a like, even if Balotelli would retire today he could claim 1 UCL 2 Serie A titles, 1 Coppa, one EPL title and so on. Adu shouldnt be mentioned in this thread

eh, if you dont understand the point, i feel sorry for you.

Adu at 14 was rated to be probably one of the best players in history on potential. He earnt more money by the time he was 16 than Balotelli did until he moved to City.

My point is that raw potential alone means nothing.

But evidently you arent capable of understanding that.
