Mourinho recalls Balotelli madness

Jose Mourinho has recalled the amusing story behind a Mario Balotelli red card while both were at Inter.

In an interview with CNN, the now Real Madrid boss spoke of the challenges in managing Manchester City enigma Balotelli.

“I could write a book of 200 pages of my two years at Inter with Mario, but the book would not be a drama – it would be a comedy,” the tactician noted.

“I remember one time when we went to play Kazan in the Champions League. In that match I had all my strikers injured. No Diego Milito, no Samuel Eto’o, I was really in trouble and Mario was the only one.

“Mario got a yellow card in the 42nd minute, so when I got to the dressing room at half-time I spend about 14 minutes of the 15 available speaking only to Mario.

“I said to him: ‘Mario, I cannot change you, I have no strikers on the bench, so don’t touch anybody and play only with the ball. If we lose the ball no reaction. If someone provokes you, no reaction, if the referee makes a mistake, no reaction.'

“The 46th minute – red card!”

dunno about cheering for bilan, but Zamat (Peter) told me the guy went straight to the airport from the stadium and flew to Milan. we saw him on sky before the game, the reporters tried to interview him, but he did't say a thing (not then anyway).
I wonder how far Mancio's patience/tolerance boundaries can be stretched

Balotelli 'does not show right values'
By Football Italia staff

Mario Balotelli looks to be on his way out of Manchester City after Brian Marwood pointed out he does “not show the right values and the right behaviour.”

Manager Roberto Mancini has tried to calm the Italian international, but the club appears to have lost patience.

“I think that it’s important to make a good example,” Football Administrator Marwood told the Sunday Mirror.

“I think – and we all know who we are talking about – that you will get people within the system who do not show the right values and the right behaviour.

“In the main, we have a *fantastic group of players here. I look at [Pablo] Zabaleta, I look at [Vincent] Kompany, I look at Joe Hart, Gareth Barry and Joleon Lescott.

“I think we have a lot of players who can behave in the right way. You just have to make sure that THEY are the role models.”

Balotelli has long been linked with a return to Serie A, although there are few clubs who would be willing to take on the £24m striker.

Milan are the most likely option, though financial problems suggest they would only be prepared to bring him in on loan.

SuperMario has never disguised he is a Rossoneri supporter, despite playing for their rivals Inter.

Juventus have also been mentioned in the media, but the fans are unlikely to accept Balotelli into the fold after past controversies.

Roma, Fiorentina and Napoli could also be contenders to give Balotelli a return to Serie A.

I believe he will be truly useful for a TEAM only after he matures.

He is having fun at City, he could even go to PSG for fun, but when he will decide it's time to take over the world it will be truly spectacular [hopefully not for bbilan].

PS: Rumours are saying that Zlatan called Balotelli "average" in a text message  (just like Barcelona, after leaving them)

Lol by the time he decides to take over the world it will be to late. He will have already minimized his potential. It would be interesting to the the prodigals son return though.

By each day I'm more convinced he is coming back. With Strama & Cassano here + MM actually likes this guy and likes having a plethora of class forwards.

If we could get him to play like he does for Italy we'll be set at the forward position for a long time. That's a big IF though, I just don't think he has the same respect for the Inter shirt. He'll probably end up at Milan if he leaves City.

We also have to think about the effect he would have on our youth. He is a smoker, partier, and womanizer. (Assuming since he takes them home by van) I still think he's the way he is because he wanted to be just like Ibra. Now imagine a kid who wants to be just like Balotelli.
