He's the agent of Kerlon.

Bummer.

Anyway, I think Moratti is thinking that this sale might have an ibra effect. He will use the cash to get another great striker. Even though we wont get even close to the amount we got with Ibra.
But at this rate no one from the youth academy is going to break through in the senior squad. And to me, thats a major disappointment.

Santon will and in time be a first team regular. He has the attributes balo clearl lacks which is why he will make it at inter.

SE SALTELLI....
yes i agree he has the attributes, but does he have the physicality and the skill. the jury is still out on the boy. one day he was the next maldini and the next he was having a run of very below average games. we should wait and see if he can continuously perform like mario before judging. i hope he does well though, he is in the end of the day one of ours....

Don't want to turn this into a santon thread so will just answer shortly. His performances vs c.ronaldo showed he clearly has the skill and physicality. He went through a tough second season as has happended with a lot of younger players. In the second season your opponents know you better, the injuries didn't help either. IMHO he will be better this season having learned from his second season .

1) Mario sold
2) Maicon stays
3) Forlan as Mario's replacement

And I thought 2009 mercato can't be beaten :proud:

Overall signing Forlan would be more like 2008 mecato'ish than 2009. Mario should be replaced with someone who can play on the flanks, Forlan obviously can't. And paying over 20mil€ of him ain't really a good move, especially when we have Milito and Eto'o already up there.

Both Balotelli&Maicon staying = good mercato.

And what are we going to do with two 31-year-old starting strikers + Eto'o? Balotelli must be replaced with a similar young player, not over ten years older one.

Not to mention he doesn't have an EU passport so we couldn't sign him anyway. At what point can we sign another non-EU player, January or next summer?

Ryyney has a PERFECT attitude?

Oh man...
I never heard of him speeding through Milano with an AUDI R8 while firing a cap gun out on the window :D

Ok, I read about 20 pages on your views regarding this Balotelli situation. I am sorry it became a situation.

I voted - #Yes but only at the right price.

Of course I like this cold blooded kid, but I think this is too much. We all know what issues he created with his improper attitude, I won't repeat them. He has the potential to be #1, but do you really think he can make it? When will he pull his shit together?! 3 years? 10 years? NEVER?! He seems like a gamble to me... It would be worth taking it if he was ONE OF US, but he clearly isn't [cut the primavera shit, Fossati also came through our Primavera and he's a milanista - we all saw how he signed for them.] You could say "he's just a kid, give him a break" but that's not clearly the case! Other kids can behave, work and take care of their play. Other 19 year olds don't show up late for training, and they train to the maximum. Others don't believe they are already #1 before they even got there... ETC ETC ETC! Because of this, I think it will take a long long time (if ever) for Balotelli to mature. He seems to wanna have that "rap superstar" kinda life, which doesn't really fit our mentality. It's even worse, it's like we have the enemy in our own yard!

I am not afraid to lose this "gem", because he's not unique. I won't force him to stay only because he's "italian"..... seriously?! Many times hard workers achieve more than just "talents & potentials" - and we did this last season!

This is going to be like when jube sold henry to Arsenal. Not a good idea.
Could be, but who can take his shit until he becomes 'Henry' ?! We can cash in BIG TIME and buy a player that really wants to perform for us and will help us.

minterke`s argument that he can win a game on his own!? I guess you were talking about Ibrahimovic, not Balotelli. He did it all the time, we kinda expected it from him! But when he flopped, the team flopped. That's why we sold him - we don't wanna depend on a single player, we're a TEAM. Btw Balotelli never really won games on his own...

First mistake of Mario was accepting Mino Raiola as an agent. That guy is a greedy bastard, all he cares is money, big wages, payment rise and transfers (so he can cash in from the signing fee). We all know how his players ended up, forcing transfers like Ibrahimovic & Maxwell...

I'm not sure if we're prepared to take this kind of shit every year, with stupid attitude and big mouth agent! Age factor is a NEGATIVE point in this regard, because of this, every summer he will be linked to another club! If he wanted to stay, he could have just stated it! If he wanted to be loved, he could have just acted better! We took stupid and selfish shit from Adriano, Ibrahimovic, we tried to solve their problems but we couldn't help them. They ended up elsewhere, but we won! EVERYTHING! This proves us right, this proves NO ONE IS ABOVE THE CLUB!

I'm not a Balotelli hater, too bad he's stupid and does not capitalize his gift, talent and potential.

The smartest thing is probably to sell him, the dressing-room will benefit and also from economical point of view. If Kolarov costs €20 mil., and Yaya Toure €30, we better get at least €40 for [t]his ass! Then we have a deal! Man City has that money anyway!! That's the most important thing, to cash in BIG TIME! NO DISCOUNTs please! We have to play hard, just like in Poker. We have to be firm, and paint ourselvs as willing to keep him until next summer. We could tell them that Rafa will use him as a winger since we sold Quaresma and Mancini is on his way out, and his value could even rise. ;)

balotelli sub will be coutinho, no need to have 5859448488948899383553555335 players in the squad.
now we should focus on get a AM/winger who is better than pandev/eto'o. eto'o can return to his original position which is sriker, did u see inthe world cup, in the mid or in the wings he suck, as a striker he made some goals.

How is his Rubin performance any better than games where where Milito decided the games? Or sneijder won a game against because of a freekick.

It isn't, which is exactly my point. He is capable of performing on the same level as our best players, as a teenager!

It's a project. We aren't in desperate need of money. You could see it last year, this kid doesn't bring down the whole team. It's a risk that is completely worth it.

As for the timing of his sale, if it happens, I don't see the trip to America changing anything. Ibra was sold in the middle of our trip last year.

I always think it's a good thing to use our primavera products, especially if they are so incredibly talented.

Beyond pride and an example for our youngsters that they can break into the team, upcoming restrictions might be imposed and homegrown players will be valuble.

Also look at Barcelona and Bayern, they are able to spend more on positions of need by bringing their own players through for free.

If wee sell balo during friendly to manU, he becomes happy and he thinks he will win CL with them.

He insult us with his behaviour, we meet manU in CL final... And win
