Report: Branca termination agreed
By Football Italia staff

Inter sporting director Marco Branca looks set to leave the club within the next few days, it has emerged.

The retired striker has been part of the background staff at San Siro since 2002, but has come in for increased scrutiny for his role in assembling the current squad.

And Sky Sport Italia believe that the 49-year-old’s exit has been agreed, with both parties accepting a termination deal.

The channel insists that Branca has been pushed out by new owner Erick Thohir, who sees the ex-forward has dispensable following a spate of lack-lustre signings.

It is understood that Branca will be the first of a number of changes in the coming six months by Thohir, once the new owner has shifted debt previous President Massimo Moratti had secured with Italian banks to Asian institutions instead.

It's not as climactic as I thought it would be though. When I imagined this day I was picturing him running out of the office in Milan, with someone from Inter chasing him out with a shotgun.

It came sooner than I thought/hoped. But it's only reasonable that Inter continues without him, there is no denying it, sooner the better.

Smart time to do it honestly. Whoever comes in needs to get acclimated with the current coaching staff and upper management. We also need to start working on targets for the summer. Branca's last contribution will be this past winter Mercato.

If they bring Tare that would be fucking awesome. I am not saying that on a biased opinion, but Lazio for the last few years has been operating on a budget of peanuts. Theyre literally one of few Italian teams actually making a profit.

The players hes brought to Lazio include Klose, Biglia, Hernanes, Lulic, Candreva, Marchetti, etc..

People give too much credit to directors who spend freely, but not ones who work with very little.

Him or Sabatini will do.

Tare has done well now that you mention it. I also didn't know Lazio was continuously profiting.

However why would Sabatini leave Roma? It's not like they're on a downward slope or can't afford to pay him comparably.

and what have those players done for lazio? CHL spot?

Klose and Hernanes are good deals, the rest are good if your fav team is Bologna, Genoa or Parma. Those "good" type of deals are common even for someone like Branca.

Dont get me wrong, but i dont think we're in need of someone like Tare.

We're clearly gonna operate with a bigger budget the next mercato and the next one and next one, so we dont have to limit ourselves with people like tare or other lower teams directors.

Im hoping for a change of coach and then bring someone that will work with that coach and in a way be a "coaches assistant", to whom the coach can talk about tactics and players and specific buys...

a dream team up will be Simeone as coach and Zanetti as the next Branca.

Because we couldn't pay him comparably, but I think Roma can compared to current Inter.

Tare to replace Branca at Inter
By Football Italia staff

With Marco Branca set to leave Inter within days, reports this afternoon suggest that the Nerazzurri could go for Igli Tare.

The San Siro outfit have agreed a termination deal with the sporting director, it was reported earlier ton Wednesday.

The 49-year-old has come in for much criticism recently for a series of underwhelming signings. And Indonesian owner Erick Thohir has acted quickly to get rid of any dead weight by letting Branca go.

But Leggo claim that the new Beneamata chief will look to replace the ex-striker with another former forward, bringing in Lazio’s Igli Tare to oversee sporting issues.

Lazio fans want Taro out as much as we want Branca out, especially after the sale of Hernanes.

At this price, any club would have sold him.

Oh, please no Igli Tare.

He is just Lotito's puppet. I prefer someone who can and can be trusted to operate by himself. Especially now when our owner doesn't want to handle so many the things.

Lmao only klose and hernanes? marchetti and candreva for bologna?

Lazio fans are delusional if they blame Tare. Lotito has 0 cash, and Tares done an amazing job.

They saw Lotito using a pre paid cellphone thats how cheap he is.....

People look at Leonardo who spends unlimited funds and see him as good director.

For me best directors are the ones who do the most with the least. Bringing those signings like hernanes, klose, marchetti, candreva in a a matter of 3-4 years with a budget of peanuts is an amazing job imo.

People can feel free to disagree but hes my second choice after sabatini.

Javier Zanetti.

Its a position that requires no skill at all other than being able to talk and have a charisma, being the philantrope he is, Zanetti is meant to be this.

Hopefully this is true and Ausilio's and Fassone's firings are next. They are as much of a problem as Branca.

yes, true, thats why i said a post earlier that the new director should be something like an "assistant" of the coach, not pick players, but make deals happen, a coach should be able to pick them, imo..

Tare?
Why not?
He's tall,
Good in the air,
Something we're lacking at right now...

we have Piero Ausilio/Aid the sporting director for now..I think he is way smarter and competent than Branca but will ET want another sporting director in the summer or he will get a new technichal director?!

Tare is the sporting director and the technical area coordinator of Lazio!

so yeah...a little confused here!
