we do have a plan b we just can't let other teams know about it
If I'm thinking of the right Allegri quote he actually said he would like to coach in England or for PSG but thinks realistically his next job is in Italy. I would have to see the interview, but yeah definitely looks like there's some sort of pre-agreement between him and the club.
I'm sure his big motivating factor behind waiting for us is that he could become the first coach to win the scudetto with Inter, Juventus, and Milan.

“Sure! I would like to experience the Premier League. In Italy, I was in Milan four years. Five years in Juventus. Now I expect [to work again] in Italy, but it is difficult, or in England.”
I think Allegri, while not the sexiest hire, is the right hire. He's a proven winner in Serie A and has made it to two UCL finals. He's not problematic, he's flexible, and above all else, seems to want to coach here. Three things someone in particular is not. I mean, didn't Allegri suggest he didn't want to coach at PSG because he preferred us? That's a pretty big statement seeing as how PSG has to be the best coaching job in the world. Superstar forwards, guaranteed to win your league every year and limitless funds. All you have to do is win in the CL. Simeone is obviously a target as well but I think he's waiting until we're in a better position to contend for the CL right away. Although if that's what he's holding out for, it's not looking good.
Biella would be rejected by people and environment in two months I fear.Thread is a wate of time. If Conte leaves this summer our next manager will be Allegri. I wish it was bielsa or simeone but what can you do.

I still root for Cholo to be our next manager.
Isn't he the highest paid manager in the world? As per FIF logic, anything less than treble is failure for him blivious:
One of the biggest things worrying me about this club going forward in relation to the potential majority/minority sale from Sunning is how we will replace Conte, because let's face it, hes definitely not staying another season...and probably shouldn't. Let's first hope he resigns and doesn't get sacked because we already can't afford to pay him 10 million on top of another coach.
How can the club move forward? Allegri seems to be the prime candidate and will do well with the players we already have, but there's a decent chance he could end up at Roma instead. Then what does that leave us with? At the point we're in now we can't go back to the Ranieris of the world or gamble on someone like De Zerbi. We probably couldn't lure Simeone here, or even afford to tbh. Hope Klopp gets sacked? Lol.
There are obviously other issues the club will face going forward but I can see a potential 180 coming our way and I'm concerned.
