I'm being too harsh to compensate all the shit that some people have been talking about Maicon. Yes, i understand that he rejected Juve, that he gives 100%, and he loves Inter, me too, but that doesn't make me good enough to play for Inter, it's very simple.
Obviously Azzkir was 100% right, when you like a player just because he gives 100% you are having a loser mentality and you will never succeed.
Im slightly tired of your posts. Stankovic has been at the club 8 years. As well as his positives, which you acknowledge, he has been a leader on and off the field. He is now 33 years old. There is a decent chance that, like his compatriot Mihajlovic, he wants to go into coaching. Irrespective of his future ambitions he may well serve a role like Materazzi did at the club. Not a starter. But a fierce dressing room presence. I'm sure that someone who has won it all at the club and captained his country has something to bring there. Interestingly he was best friends with Materazzi back then and I doubt Matrix would be friends with a pussy.
In any event as a Spaniard you will appreciate that Barcelona's success is in part down to the strong family atmosphere they create around the club. This is helped by regional identity but is practiced by strong youth time prospects and a desire to stick through players when they get ill and old. It is the emotional investment you put into players that reaps rewards. Barcelona paid for expensive hormone treatment for Messi. He will be loyal for life. The whole team were incredibly tight with Abidal during his cancer. Even Barca's fiercest critics can't cailed to have been moved by the team celebrating titles by throwing him up in the air.
Director of football Zubizaretta, Academy director Amor, B team manager Sacristan, former B team manager Luis Enrique, and of course Pep Guardiola all played for the club for a long time. All have come back to give loyalty to a side that did the same to them. It is a principle of good management that making sacrifices for an individual lays down emotional deposits which will very likely be paid back.
Stankovic has already given so much that if we treat him with respect and dignity when he is weak, he will give back to the club in the future. Other players at the club will see how he is treated and be motivated to continue, knowing that they play for a club which respects big players who have given so much.
(To post videos of a player making a mistakes, like the person in Stankovic thread, is so facile. Go and score one goal in your life like the one against Schalke and you will have the integrity to comment on a player's technique).
Mourinho understood with Matrix the importance of a big dressing room figure to unite and motivate the squad, even if that player was past his best. We should do too.
Tldr: You didn't read cos you're illiterate. Get a job.
