rfU, whenever Mariga got his chance, he proved to be a great midfielder. Tackling, running, scoring sometimes. He doesn't get much chances, and I hope he does get them in a near future.

If he is that great he should get chances. I don't see that really. Whenever I watched him he was slow, had poor passing, and scoring?! I don't remember that part.

Mariga great whenever given the chance?

I must have been watching someone else then, because to me Mariga has looked muntari-esque more often than not when given the chance.

People here only think he has some great potential because he was brought in under Mourinho :wallbang:

Not great but potential. Better than Muntari on average for sure. Muntari looks muntari-esque almost always he plays (surprise :D), Mariga may have looked muntari-esqua couple of times, but the sample size is so small we can't put him into muntari-category yet. Mariga can't get himself on playing form because he isn't allowed to play.

If he showed the potential, that some people here believe he has, in training and practice matches then im sure he would have seen more of the pitch in official matches.

But that hasnt happened so its fairly easy to conclude that he isnt showing much of the potential people here think he has, also taken into consideration that he is not a young talent anymore, he should be an accomplished player by now.

Like i said before, its absolutely ridiculous to not trust the coaching staff in picking the right players. People here goes on and on about "trusting the management" when it comes to transfers - an aspect where there are far more uncertainties and where its right to ask questions if they are making the right choices. But trusting the staff to pick the right and most fit players is a no brainer really, they see these players every single day and knows everything about them.

Who mentioned Mourinho? I didn't even think of that. I'll always stand behind my opinion: Whenever he got his chance, he proved to be good, no matter what people who only want to ridicule Inter and Inter players think.

You only remember Farca matches, so don't even go around quoting me when I post about Inter or Inter players.

Next question
It's not that I believe that Mariga is world class or that I think I know more than INTER staff. I also don't think that because Mou brought him, he is world class (he brought Muntari and Quaresma).

Our current midfield options: Cambiasso, Zanetti, Motta, Kharja and current Stankovic seems so out of will, so soft at times (not only talking about last derby).

I just believe there are games where we could use more toughness (but with some brains not senseless brutality ala Muntari, Burdisso or Materazzi). And when you look at our bench, Mariga seems the only one with physical presence able to bring that.

Leo doesn't seem to like that role that much (he didn't used Gattuso that much, right?)

well that's just it, Mariga doesn't have the brains, he's not senseless, just not intelligent enough on the ball. such things are evident early on, on the way moves possession about. It could come with experience overtime but I doubt it. He's a strong tackler, decent enough positionally, but that's it. He should move on IMO.

It's simple you win some you lose some by taking risks on undeveloped players, seems we've been losing alot lately...

Why the fuck does Leo hate this dude? Since Leo arrived, he has started 1 game and been subbed in 1/2. He's scored in his only start with Leo, and almost set up a goal in one where he only played for like 15 minutes.

Fuck Kharja, man. :(

Not a hate, Leo is not a risk taker, he only wants the experienced players and the old guys.. actually sometimes it's good but not always like Leo do.. this is his problem..

Well he's experienced Kharja's epic fails and Mariga's awesomeness.

But really, players like him, Emre, Karagounis and Solari maybe are always what makes it intriguing being an Interista. All of us think they were good but for some unknown reasons, the coaches hardly play them.

He should do better on several occassions today. He lost couple of balls which lead to Lazio's counter attack.
