I sure hope this means we will get a young starlet to AM position to be a Figo's sub. For example rumoured one, Nasri or Pato.

Amazing news! Its amazing he's stayed knowing we will buy players. I always thought of him being a thorough professional, but he's thanked the fans for the way they cheered him. Grande! (*)

Great news. Now we can bring an unproven, talented, young player without risking too much. Let's hope Figo can keep it up.

Forza Figo! :star:

Really great, but I still hope for Quaresma.
Chances on him are slinking with this because I don't think Quaresma likes to be subbed or not to be in the starting XI.

But it is great! Forza Luis!

This is the best news news i have heard in a long time,i am EXREMELY happy he decided to stay another season,to me he is an inter legend and that fact that he decided to stay at inter rather than go to another team for money proves how much luis loves inter, grande Luis, next year will be a very interesting year between the cl and serie A,forza Inter.

I'm so delighted. The day that Genoa and Napoli are back in Serie A, Luis Figo renewed with us and will continue with us even after retirement. WHAT A ****ING DAY!

I hope he can end this season on a high... I'd be so sad if he doesn't :(

As an Inter fan, I have to say that I am touched by the fact that Figo is staying. It means that he loved the club - genunie love - and would sacrifice something to remain with us. He could have made more money with Ittihad in five months than with Inter in 4 years.

I have never been a fan of his character, but he is a great player. I welcomed him when he came and I asked for him to go when he was playing horribly. I hope Inter makes Figo a fitting farewell match and that his final play is a memorable one and not a headbutt like his good friend

Hmm, I've never been a huge fan of Figo, especially after what he did to Barca and almost going to the Arabian club strictly for the money they offered, but I'm happy he's staying on for another season.

He's been quite instrumental in reforming our image from perennial losers to champions and has been shown great love from the fans. Good to hear he'll still be with the club after his playing career is done as well. Now if he can lure Quaresma to Inter, I'll erect a personal statue in his honor

Grazie Moratti... His critics say he's soft, but the guy's a "people person". I guess we have him to thank for Figo's initial transfer, Figo staying, and Figo as a director of international relations after retirement.

The more directors who've played the game (Branca & Oriali) the better.

What he was going there for then? Presige?

Anyway, I'm not here to bash Figo so I don't wanna get into what his reasons could have been. He's an Inter player next season and that is all that's important

he made that decision in january when he wasnt getting much playing time

he mustve felt he wouldnt be able to keep up the type of form required of inter and decided to go out with a big pay check

now that hes proved to everyone what a warrior he is, he figures he could keep it for another year
