Too bad he plays in a position where he has to run a lot and fast. This doesn't match his precise passes and vision in the game. Thankfully we play in Serie A where the game is a bit slower. He still can be useful sometimes.

In Serie A he'll be a lot of help coming in when our wings are tired and against much weaker/slower defenses that will give him the time needed for him to use his vision and crosses because his speed is just non-existent at the moment however I can't see him being used at all once we reach the harder and more important stages in Europe as his pace is too slow and in the 4-3-3 formation we need speed, creativity and precision and even though he might have the latter 2 to an above average extent he definitely lacks the first one which is very important in Europe to be able to use his other weapons....I think Balotelli and even Jiminez should be used ahead of him when we play in Europe...

Figo still could do good if he would be faster player. I don't think we will use him too much but he's really too slow.

He can't take this level a year longer... It's such a pity, he had a great pass against Ajax too...

Its Moratti, his favoritism.

He doesnt want Figo to be angry to leave and like Maldini, Figo wants to win with a big trophy. I doubt that it will happen with him on the field. Mourinho doesnt like players aged 35 and above. Never heard him talk about one.

Mourinho likes Figo. I don't have the quote but earlier this summer he was saying on one of the italians sites figo has two more good seasons left.;)

We will see. Jose doesn't play people just because they have nice ring to their name.

Mancini, SuperMario and Ricky will have no problems in playing in favour of him.

If Figo wasnt portuguese and they didnt go way back during the Barca days, I highly doubt that Mourinho would have allowed Figo to renew his contract.

When your letting old players like Figo, Dacourt to sign extention contracts at there age, then how can u demand a smaller squad? This is why i doubt the squad will be trimmed down to his expectations.

Jose, despite the fact, that he has definetly more to say than what Mancio had, couldn't come, and in his first day, tell that one of favourite players of MM has to go. I really believe if it was all up to Jose, Figo would be already playing in Katar. I mean, this guy couldn't go on a bench of Chelsea, or Porto for that matter.

I'm sure it was 100% MM decision.

You are sure? Moratti told you? What, is it also Moratti's fault that Figo played almost all game against Benfica? Remember what Mancini used to say, that Figo have to realise that he's not so young any longer, and that he can't play so often any longer. Later Figo said that Mancini humiliated him!?! Oh, please Mourinho, realise that Figo shouldn't play longer than 20-30 min.

He was better today, but we desperately need a player that doesn't make us depend on Figo.

Better? He lost almost every ball he got. Figo slows down every attack Inter gets when the ball is played to him. He also failed miserably in couple of 100% scoring chances.

He combined nicely with Ibra on a couple of occasions and didn't slow down the attack at all. Give credit where it's due. He lost the ball many times, though, but when he succeeded he did very well.
