It doesn't matter because if we were to bid for VDV, Diego or Quaresma a big club would also bid and his price would raise up greatly. We have the first option on Jimenez no other side can cause our price to raise up and based on the way he's playing right now. 10 million is really that much considering the amount of money we'll get from winning Seria A, Television deals and winning the Champions League, European SuperCup and Club World Cup!

Luis is playing very good lately, but I have to be stubborn at my view.

I need a playmaker there, the person who will take the ball and can dictate the tempo, the way a team plays, the person who can take this responibility on its shoulders.

Luis is playing with more ease and he showed he ca do a lot of stuff, but he must improve in this department of playmaking.

If he can and he can do it very good and with some consistency, then we will have a player we were looking for.

Jimenez reminds me of a technical and more attacking version of Stankovic. A typical Serie A midfielder.

No matter what you say about Diego, Quaresma and whoever, if Jimenez continues to play like this, and obviously improve with time, Mancini will eventually sign him permanently at the end of the season.

Jimenez perfectly suits our system.

Well actually, I've seen the game today again, and I was really impressed by Jimenez display. Especialy the way he fought against the Milans midfield.

But I think... that we could use at times a player who can play a killer ball behind the enemys defence for our strikers. That's what I'm missing, as without Figo the only one who can is Ibra , and Esteban from time to time.

If Jimenez will be able to do that I will be more then pleased. No need of playmaking there.

The way hes been playing for us and especially that derby, he was awesome considering he was rushed into the squad. He was solid in the derby, really proven he can perform against the big teams. Even when Milan were going full tilt at us he was standing tall, never shying away from the tackle and always looking to make an incisive pass. Unlike our previous little Chileian this guy is tailor made for the big time.

His only drawback is that there are times where he likes to dabble on the ball for a little too long. Perhaps he is waiting for a team mate to get into a better position or simply looking for a better option. Sometimes it gets him into trouble, other times he just burns the chance.

Maybe if he bulks up a tiny bit he will be better at shielding the ball and thus allowing him to hold onto it for longer.

This guy is a fighter, so small yet so strong. A particular highlight for me was that sweet pass with the outside of the foot for Cruz.

After all, here we have a player that has proven (thus far) his capability in playing as a first choice regular within this team, and he has done well too.
