I fail to see this creative touch and vision on the field, Joss. I'm not trying to say that Jiminez isn't any good, but he simply had a goal. Nothing unbelievable. Just was on the other end of a terrific pass by Zlatan. I would love to see him continue to score goals and show me this great vision and touch, but I am not counting on him to. Simply saw him screw up too many touches and think his passing was poor.

I've been wrong before. Look at my avatar, I used to be one of Matrix's biggest critics on the forum. ;)

Go on inter.it and read mancini's comments about jimenez instead of bashing a player. For his first start of the season he is inevitably going to make mistakes and bad passes, but he was undeniably influencial in the game. Whether he continues his performance is another matter. You watched the game, then you must have seen that he had 4 potential goal scoring assists and managed to score a goal. For his first start against a good side that is a good performance by anyones standards.

When I first heard of Jimenez possible Inter arrival, I was very positive.
I thought it was an excellent purchase. A young playmaker with great potential and experience.
I mean the guy was the captain of chiles national team!...you got to have some sublime skills to achieve such position.

Somehow though Mancini never gave him the chance to prove himself, well, that until the Fiorentina game.
Personally, I think he did tremendously well after only been playing one and a half game all season.
He didn't produce a breathtaking display, but he sure caused havoc for the Fiorentina defence.

He can be a real suprise this season, and if he's not then he will back with Ternana/Lazio at the end of the season.

Its only a loan after all.

Now is his chance. With Deki pulling out ahead of Lazio, it is 90% certain that Jimenez will start in the AM role again.
Hope he can have another great game later.

out of curiosity, if he scores 3 out of the last 3 games, how will you guys take it. If he can be consistent like the last 2 games, he will have no problems starting some games.

I'm not so sure he will manage to do that but I really hope so. With hard training and a bit of luck Jimenez could be a very good addition for our squad this season.

Lazio was the game we needed to see that Jimenez has consistency. He's not making mistakes anymore, he's scoring and almost scoring a lot, and he's playmaking as he should. Good movements, fast, and in the right place at the right time. It's still relatively early to judge though, but I think i've finally seen a youngster we can depend on!

He wasn't consistent in the Fiorentina game at all. I do not get where most of you guys see that. It's such a mystery to me how one goal eliminates shady passing and too many heavy touches killing our progress going forward.

Now, today was much better. I can honestly say that Jiminez played well and had great support behind him from Capitano, Cuchu and young Pele. Bravo, Jime!

It eliminates it because in the final third where it counts he was clinical and he provided something that can be game-changing and something that can win a game---A GOAL!

He was great against Fiorentina, and he was impressive today against Lazio too, this guy is turning out to be a gem of a player.

In the views of him supposed to be an actual AM who leads the attacks, hold up the ball and has the vision to make a unexpected pass, then he was very poor today.

I kinda agree with you on that, he was often on the wing or playing as a 3rd striker. He also needs to pass quicker, but I think that will improve when he learns more about his teammates and gets some minutes under his belt. Nonetheless, 2 goals (could be 4) and 1 assist in 180 minutes is certainly not bad, taken account his very limited chances.

Did you even watch the game today?! Jimenez was superb. He showed his skill on holding the ball when he was challenged by 3 Lazio guys and easily got out. He almost scored one of the goals of the season.

BTW, what do you want form this man?! Do you want him to dribble the hold field and score 10 goals a game?! In his current form right now he is playing better than Ronaldinho and Kaka, IMO. (Please note I said playing better not is better!) Jimenez definately had a better game than Maxwell, who IMO tries way to hard and thinks way to much.

Jimenez barely played as an AM today Ibrahimovic took his role and Luis kinda played behind Ibra. If he is not good for you, then stop posting in his thread or don't watch any game that he plays in. I'm sure his performance won't be affected by you not watching it or why don't you go try out for Inter and see if you could put up with the pressure.

Asslicker is like that, he always think he knows something, when people confront him with arguments, he answer something like 10 year old without no arguments at all. Like, he should play in seria b, he didn't show absolutly nothing bla bla yet anyone who saw game wouldn't possibly say that he didn't show nothing if he/she know anything about football.

I know. I think he enjoys being hated.

I also forgot to mention Luis's great service today from his corners!

But the foot work before was superb. It's one of those situations when you are really disappointed that the ball doesn't go in, for the player's sake.

I have one thing to say to everyone who complains about him not being a ball mover behind the strikers. Don't think just because he is an attacking midfielder, he automatically is a playmaker.
