Is it 4m next summer only?

Then they can pay another 4M next summer to buy 4/5 of that 50% resale which would leave us with just 10% resale.

If they don't pay us 4M next summer on top of the 4M now, we're left with 50% resale.

This is my understanding how the deal works, based on Matteo Moretto who I think Romano has used as a source before.

I checked the tweet of the Spanish journalist Romano quotes in this tweet. He says Sevilla have bought 50% of player rights for 4m and they have the option to buy the extra 40% for 4m next summer. So basically what you said.

wow that is way more than what I thought we'd get for him. He isnt as bad as you guys make him out to be. Was starting for Sevilla. Would have been better to give him a chance than bring in some random old ass player for 3-5m a year wages

Okay so the Agoume deal is a lot worse than initially reported. This is what is reported from Spain.

4M fee + 50% resale fee. But Sevilla can acquire back 40% of the resale value by paying 4M next summer.

Meaning we'd get 8M for Agoume + 10% resale. Not great, but makes more sense for Sevilla as "naked" 50% resale would give us massive positive risk.

yeah, correct. they're often ludicrous, though, like, Agoume will probably be like 60mil+, they set them so high that they're never really hit - esp after the Neymar affair

But he wasn't a young player, those usually doesn't have much say what the release clause would be.

It was probably negotiated to be party of the renewal package, so that he can get out of the club for a decent money if such a situation occurs.
