MILANO - L'Inter ha un nuovo giocatore: si tratta di Lisandro Ezequiel Lopez, difensore argentino, che si trasferisce al club nerazzurro a titolo temporaneo fino al 30 giugno 2018 (con diritto di opzione per l'acquisizione a titolo definitivo).

Nato il 1° settembre a Villa Constitucion, nella provincia di Santa Fe, cresce calcisticamente nel settore giovanile del Chacarita Juniors, squadra con cui esordisce nel calcio professionistico nella stagione 2008/09. Nel 2010, dopo aver collezionato un totale di 25 presenze e 2 reti nella Liga Nacional, viene acquistato dall'Arsenal Sarandì. Con la maglia rossoceleste, Lisandro si impone come uno dei difensori centrali più promettenti del calcio argentino: in tre stagioni, considerando tutte le competizioni, totalizza 122 presenze e 17 reti, fornendo un contributo determinante per la conquista del Torneo Clausura e della Supercopa Argentina nel 2012. In particolare, Lisandro Lopez realizza il gol vittoria nell'1 a 0 sul Belgrano che consegna all'Arsenal Sarandì il Clausura, primo titolo nazionale nella storia del club.

L'estate 2013 è il momento del salto nel calcio europeo: Lisandro Lopez viene acquistato dal Benfica, che lo cede in prestito per una stagione al Getafe. Con gli spagnoli disputa 26 partite in Liga e 2 in Coppa del Re, impreziosite da 4 reti, prima di far ritorno in Portogallo. Con le Aquile lusitane gioca per tre stagioni e mezzo, contribuendo alla conquista di numerosi titoli nazionali: 3 Campionati, 1 Coppa, 2 Coppe di Lega e 2 Supercoppe.

"I’ve come here to give a hand to the team, to help it reach its objectives. There have been a lot of Argentines at Inter. Among others, Samuel, Zanetti and Milito come to mind and they’re all players who’ve made history. I hope to do well too. I used to follow Serie A and it’s one of the best leagues in the world for me. It’s very tactical, very competitive and I’ll look to give my all and learn day by day."

Finally, there was a question on his choice of shirt number. "I’ve had the number two for many years and I like it. I was fortunate to find it free here so I had no doubts."
