10 years of FIFLippi have chosen this team for the double qualifier against Norway and Moldova.
Portieri: Buffon (Juventus), Pelizzoli (Roma).
Difensori: Bonera (Parma), Favalli (Inter), Ferrari (Roma), Legrottaglie (Juventus), Materazzi (Inter), Nesta (Milan), Oddo (Lazio), Zauri (Lazio).
Centrocampisti: Ambrosini (Milan), Blasi (Juventus), De Rossi (Roma), Diana (Sampdoria), Fiore (Valencia), Gattuso (Milan), Pirlo (Milan), Zambrotta (Juventus).
Attaccanti: Corradi (Valencia), Del Piero (Juventus), Gilardino (Parma), Miccoli (Juventus), Toni (Palermo), Totti (Roma).
It's a bit better what it was against Iceland. But I don't think Totti can play much, he hasn't played almost any matches during the pre-season.

Ferrari, Pirlo and Gilardino have played at the Olympics so they have a good match fitness. Miccoli has also be very lively during the training mathces what I've heard so he could start along with Gilardino. Lippi could also favor Matrix over Ferrari.
I'm not sure if Lippi will field a 4-4-2 system but that could work maybe. Or then it could be like this:

Nesta hails Lippi selection Thursday 2 September, 2004

Italy can achieve great success under the guidance of boss Marcello Lippi, says Alessandro Nesta.
"The Coach is full of enthusiasm and he is able to transmit that to the whole squad," stated the Milan man. "The players are also hungry for success.
"It is now our objective to form a solid group, with the help of key players, to create a real squad."
Lippi’s Azzurri stint didn’t get off to a great start though as they lost 2-0 to Iceland just weeks after the national side, led by Giovanni Trapattoni, flopped at Euro 2004.
"We were favourites in Portugal," added the former Lazio captain. "Our group was good but we weren’t at our best.
"We need to learn from that experience in a bid to become more of a team rather than a group of individuals.
"If we start to collect wins on a regular basis then everything will be a lot simpler for us. Victories will also see us back in favour with our own fans."
The tactician has called-up some younger faces, for the World Cup qualifiers against Norway and Moldova, which has received the approval of Nesta.
"They are very keen and enthusiastic but it is also nice that some of the more experienced players have returned too," he concluded.
Nesta is set to start against the Scandinavians on Saturday despite struggling with a slight muscle problem.
