Icardi is still the most limited big name striker in world football.
Valero is still a 40 year old man who can't walk after 40 minutes who has 2 goals and 1 assist in 45 games for the club.
Vecino is still a turd who who has beneath-average ball control, beneath-average passing, beneath-average shooting, severely beneath-average defensive contribution who only does well in very particular favorable circumstances. Deal with it.

Good performances in spite of shortcomings are to be commended, they do not change that fact that those shortcomings exist.

You guys are still missing the point - things aren't black and white... or black and blue. Extremities are unhealthy in almost every situation. Extreme bashing because of "mild" or not so mild anger or the extreme defending of players in response are just knee-jerk reactions which add nothing to the discussion. Still, it's a place to vent so it's perfectly fine - I can understand someone venting off at a player, what I'm struggling to understand is the extreme stubbornness that follows FOR FUCKING WEEKS after the initial comments have been made.


So Handa - Handa doesn't jump. Yeah, I've heard it all, from the semi-pro goalkeepers that live here to the technical video analysis of brehme with paint drawn parables and shit.

Observable reality is Handa sees a ball, has quite some time to react but does nothing. Nothing. It's an observable fact, an undeniable fact. Does that make Handa a shit goalkeeper? No. It just makes you a bit angry that he didn't prove the theory in practice by jumping, even for its own sake, and still letting the ball past him.


Icardi is static, yadda-yadda. Yeah, when the team's game struggles Icardi struggles the most. He relies on others and when his teammates shit the bed they're collectively nowhere to be seen. The difference with Icardi and others is that he doesn't interact with the ball as much as a midfielder or a defender so it appears that he's invisible.

Do we really expect that he turns his inner Messi in those occasions and falls deep to then sprint up the pitch, dribble past half the opposing team and slot a curved ball past their keeper? Hope nobody does, but still we demand more from our captain and best attacking player. It's that childish naivete that goes hand in hand with being a devout Inter fan.

That's actually a form of flattery, even if it's being disguised as criticism. Same goes for Handa. I wouldn't even make a comment if we had Karius on goal. I'd know he's a mediocre shitter and that's the absolute best he did in the situation.

Of course, some people genuinely think both are the worst players on earth on those occasions, but I wouldn't try to convince those people otherwise.
