The Phenomenon
He had a decent game apart from the penalty, he did everything right rarely made mistakes. That pass to Barella was beautiful
He should pass it through the middle early, not out wide, making the angle a bit narrow for Barella, he think too much.

Emotions are flying high
Some hasty comments are expected , everything will go back to normally when he scores a brace on the weekend.
Its not hasy to call him a ucl shit performer. He is what he is. Those serie a goals wont change it. Just look at Lakaka... actually no, lakaka actually performs much better in europe, until the final game. Then he needs to be benched.

Toro's a hero. Saying he needs to be sold is idiotic, fucker sucks in penalties but has given us a lot.

Tonight he wasn't great, but still set up Thuram 1v1

Nah I said it since the start of the season Lautaro = Lukaku 2.0. Let's not forget Lukaku got 25 goals in EPL once too.

After today, I've resigned myself to the fact that he'll never ever truly be elite (in the eyes of the World, however much value you want to assign to that).

Immobile is perhaps one of the greatest 20 or 30 forwards in Serie A history, but no one outside Serie A gives a shit about him. What with the World Cup (however fair you think that is judging him upon, seeing as he had an injury apparently) and his showings when it really mattered in Europe, this is what Lautaro will be perceived as. 12 goals in 44 Champions League matches ain't it, dog. Milito was it, Lautaro won't be.
I don't see that changing, even though he's taken strides in Serie A. Goals against Cagliari and whoever won't get you recognition, but skying that penalty will get you plenty of attention on Reddit and on replays for years to come. That's how non-Inter fans will perceive him, not scoring against Milan in a semi-final (that was already decided) - it's a fickle world, but that's how it is.

He's still great for us and we can't get better, mind you.

Being world class has nothing to do with being good at taking PK's. There's plenty of top quality goal scorers whom have missed MOST crucial chances of their career. I get the frustration, as I am too, but let's not overreact.

We are all disappointed. Lautaro was not as bad as people claim here. This is mostly on post-match emotions that people write X players off right after a fiasco.

Lautaro managed to set his players quite well into chances, but lacked support from his teammates when it mattered the most. Also in the first leg, despite missing some crucial chances, he was still very competitive and one of best players in the pitch.

Let's remain competent when judging. He may never as composed as Icardi in front of goal, but he's got his own characteristics that made the team play better and raise team's level. He may even never repeat these numbers of this season, but fact is that he's an exceptional player whom is always putting a proper effort for this team, and has been always commited to this team.

Hey, we all know he has problems scoring in CL matches and his penalty taking is not what we'd like to see. He did set up to great chances that his non-clinical teammates screwer up. He did alright compared to a lot of others today, just work on the penalty kicks in the summer.

The biggest concern is that this guy obviously has a mental issue. Those are very hard to overcome. Once you believe you can’t score in CL or take pens it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Right now the only place he plays at his best level is with Inter in Serie A. In every other competition or team he underperforms. The question is how the fuck does he get past it? Or has being Lukaku’s partner too long rubbed off on him?

This guy is kind of becoming like Higauin

Just curious, who?

Please notice I am not asking penalty accidental fuckups like Baggio's. But WC with 60% PKs success rate. Just wonder how high your bar is "world class".

I didn't mean by PK's, but in overall missing changes in crucial moments. Basically every striker had moments of these in their career. Not going to mention names since I already said, literally every striker out there, these days but also in different eras, since I am watching football for over 25 years...

Are people blind that thinks he did bad in the game, the penalty aside, do you think Messi wasn't World Class when Dembele fucked up the shot Messi set him up with?

I knew he would miss that pen but Jesus Christ…

The worst thing was his casual walkoff like, “yeah, we’ll get ‘em next time.”

He wasn’t bad aside from that but should have done better with the free-ish header he got towards the end.

I actually found that captain material, rather than just sob and cry and needed others to comfort him.
Or should he start a fight with those assholes?

I mean we didn't get from 2-0 to 2-2 for penalty because of him, keep his head up is right.
