I'm actually starting to come round on him being able to play as a straight up 9, even by himself.
Does that all the time with Argentina.

Not when he goes two months without any goal, someone has to score to win a gameHe is a number 9. All of our best performances in recent years have come with him playing as a number 9. In modern football what Lautaro gives a team is more important than being super clinical or super tall.
Different beast when you have messi/dybala/Dimaria besides/behind you than when you have gosens/dumfries/dimarco beside you and hakan/miki behind youDoes that all the time with Argentina.
don't worry we have papa dzeko to score and win the gameNot when he goes two months without any goal, someone has to score to win a game
He'll be Mbappe replacement next season I'm afraidLautaro is becoming a top player, turning up like that in big games. But all that means is that we will get good money for him next summer, so don't get too attached.
If there’s an offer of anything above 70 million we should sell in a heartbeatI'm not sure if this is already posted, but GdS report PSG and Man United are interested in Lautaro, have contacted his agent but he only wants to play for Inter.
and who would you replace him with the 30m that we'll be able to spend from that?If there’s an offer of anything above 70 million we should sell in a heartbeat
We already have Lukaku, king of Milano.and who would you replace him with the 30m that we'll be able to spend from that?
He didn't resist Barca interest though. It's just covid happened and then Barca were out of money. Without covid Lautaro would have been sold in 2020 summer.

IIRC, Barcelona bought Griezmann first and they did not have enough money for Lautaro after that. If Martinez was their top priority, the deal would have happened. He didn't resist Barca interest though. It's just covid happened and then Barca were out of money. he lacks composure and calmness. Soon as he's facing the goal, he gets a sudden rush of blood to the head and just wacks it.One thing I don't completely understand is why he misses. For example if I go there to play I'll miss because my skills won't be enough to perform at that level, this is clear.
But his technical abilities are great, if you just look, he scores most of his goals from the difficult positions, from where it is not easy to take that kind of shots, but all of a sudden he misses very simple moments.
One reason may probably be that he is making the decisions extremely fast inside the box.
