Didnt watch the game. Ppl are praising Toro for playing god. Good for him to gain some confidence again.

I give him a lot of shit, all the time, deservedly. But that was a big performance last night in a big game, when it mattered. Hopefully he can feed off this and get some wind in his back to start delivering goals. Glad Barella got MOTM but it could've just as well went to Lautaro.

The abuse for his scoring drought was ridiculous. He hadn't been scoring but he had still been playing very well and playing like a leader. Not like those other times when he would be a raging bull of frustration.

Absolutely incredible second half performance. After putting so much into the game, robbing pedri at the midfield line in the 94th minute is exemplary, bravo toro

I've already accepted the fact that he will never be a good finisher, otherwise he is a warrior, he's always fighting.

Top 5 second striker in the world.

His pass to Gosens in the 3th goal is so beautiful.
I fixed it for you. I like him, but this game won't mean shit if he doesn't start playing like that more often.

Cannot say he's not a good finisher if he scores over 20 goals in Serie A (last season). But he's not gonna be a great finisher probably ever.
If lukaku starts scoring again that wont be a problem, but in many cases Lautaro's misses costed us a lot.

Also these dry series are really bad, he goes dry for 4 matches and scores 4 one game. Statistics shows 4 goal in 5 games, which is not that true.

One thing I don't completely understand is why he misses. For example if I go there to play I'll miss because my skills won't be enough to perform at that level, this is clear.
But his technical abilities are great, if you just look, he scores most of his goals from the difficult positions, from where it is not easy to take that kind of shots, but all of a sudden he misses very simple moments.

One reason may probably be that he is making the decisions extremely fast inside the box.

I think last season near the end, he gave off the vibe he figured it out, and his choices were a lot more deliberated, and he has been banging those relativity easy chances in, and along with that every move had some purposes and not just being hopeful the opponents would just let him through.
I guess your mind gets murky and skips the processing steps as you do the things day in day out, he probably just need to recollect himself and he will show you how great he can be again.

I don't see him as a SS, I see him more of a complete forward.

I'm actually starting to come round on him being able to play as a straight up 9, even by himself.

He is a number 9. All of our best performances in recent years have come with him playing as a number 9. In modern football what Lautaro gives a team is more important than being super clinical or super tall.

we say that now that, but we won't say that if we don't finish top4 (for which I am not saying it would be Lautaro's fault, but overall)

but yes, being a warrior means a lot for us

Not when he goes two months without any goal, someone has to score to win a game
