Today was officially the day for me. Always been reluctant to want to let him go but if we get a decent offer in the summer we have to consider it. Mentally something is just off here. I hoped we could get through a season without capitulation but the lack of confidence and regression is staggering. This is becoming like Werner at Chelsea but at least he was always dangerous with pace and dribbling. It might just not work out for him here.

People were inventing alternative universe scenarios for him that he's the reason Lukaku performs, that numbers are deceiving etc. but I never believed that nonsense. I even said before this season he was the unspoken benefactor of Conte's way of play and Lukaku's presence and he'll struggle when he needs to create something for himself. Now it's just the culmination of that and his very inability to compose himself before shooting the ball into the damn net from 1 meter.

For Dzeko to show more in this match than Lautaro is embarrassing. You can't miss easy sitters. Scamacca got me excited today, knowing that we have a chance at getting him in the summer. I'd be fine with Lautaro out Scamacca in.

Pretty much this. Absolutely hilarious the shit some morons were pulling to delude themselves into thinking this guy was our most important attacker. They should never be allowed to speak about football again

That miss was shocking and he is in a serious dip of form. I have never considered Lautaro to be main striker but support. I feel that at the moment all his strengths are wasted and his weaknesses exposed.
Lukaku Lautaro worked because they simply completed each other. Lukaku would create space with pure strength and would simply run with a defender on his back. Dzeko never had the pace or strength to play that type of target man role.
To expect from Lautaro something he was never meant to do is simply ridiculous. He is NOT a playmaking forward he is NOT a poacher. He is a great pressing forward but with the way the team is set up at the moment that is not a role currently in use. You had Lukaku Lautaro and Hakimi to keep the pressure on the opposing defense. Now that pressure is much reduced bar none. We are seriously lacking speed and incisiveness overall.
Either get a good pairing for him or sell. He is wasted in this current team.

Terrible, terrible fucking stuff.

You score that chance and we would have AT LEAST drawn the game, maybe even won.

I don't really understand how this guy can't just do simple things. Like that offside chance he got in the first half, tried some fucking sneaky turning the ball to the left corner, it would have gone clearly wide. Why not just lob it over the keeper? Keep it simple, stupid!

I've bee a big Lautaro defender all the time, but if he doesn't start picking it up very soon, for the rest of the season, I'm totally okay selling him in the summer. We just cannot afford this level of wasting chances.

He can't convert chances... fine...

But at least get to those chances. Create something, find the ball. I don't see the hunger in him to score something. To do something more.
I saw more desire in Skriniar to score a goal. You can see Skriniar fighting for every ball in penalty box (when he is attacking) to try and shoot.
I just don't understand why he can't find some opportunities if Skriniar can find them with his limited time.

the last time i saw such a bad striker at inter was probably when we had rocchi, he is making me feel like it's 2014 again.

The funny thing is lautaro is only 24 and look slow and heavy as rocchi when he was here...

Lautaro is a difference maker my ass... you are true though, in the negative way

That moment in the first half. When he missed a free shot in the box by 3m, then he held his ankle to fake an injury to excuse for his shitfest. Pathetic and loser attitude.

To be honest, I see Bastoni and Skriniar being less wasteful on their chances this season. And frankly Dumfries looks more like our centre forward whereas Perisic is the one actually making shots on goal up front. At this state, it doesn't matter if we play Ranocchia or even Radu as our striker.

Inter is in sad form, and Lautaro is just one of the glaring examples: De Vrij, Handa, Barella, Hakan, Bastoni, Dzeko and even Perisic today have been off. The problem is the whole team is infected with mediocrity in performaces, untimely injuries, and ill timed suspensions coupled with mental exhaustion since the Christmas break. Inter's bench strength was a red flag from the off and it's now rearing its ugly head.

Lautaro and all the others need to step up big time. The window for error is closing, time to play and act like champions!

Actually one of the worst misses I've ever seen, holy sweet fuck
That's classic Lautaro though. That's the kind of end product that you would expect from Lautaro. Nothing shocking about that miss. I have said before, this clumsy motherfucker never looks and aims whenever he shoots. He always goes for this ape shit approach when taking a shot like "UH UH UHHHH WUHHHHH HERE'S A CHANCE!!!!!! WHOOOSHHH!!!!! KEBABOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! DID IT GO IN??? DID IT GO IN????? NOO????? FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKK", simply lashing hit foot at the ball without any direction or technique whatsoever, hence you would see him make that retarded 'sliding shot' maneuver almost every time he shoots which is actually resulting from his extreme lack of composure and basic proper shooting techniques.

Yea, i said that before also, this guy just blast the ball without aim at every situation, seems he just cant calm his ass in front of the goal, he always seems on kind of panic when he get chance, that the reason he cant dribble, he cant pass probably and almost all his attempts to goal is off target...
His football intelligence is non exist, he doing things without thinking at all!

more than anything, I'm most disappointed in Lautaro this season.

My patience with him is done, I dont think he'll ever get to be the player we need him to be. I'd like a complete overhaul of the striker department this summer - wont happen though.

Lautaro has no problem scoring for the national team. His issue at Inter is clearly confidence. He did everything wrong yesterday. It's a huge problem and i don't know how it can be solved. Would it be better to bench him or it would make things even worse? Managing Lautaro is going to be very tricky.

I guess there's two ways to look at it

Playing him repeatedly isnt helping him get any better, so we should bench him for someone who can score

But on the other hand, what options do we have? Sanchez is ass when he starts, Dzeko cant score, Caicedo and Correa are permanently injured, and there's no talent in the youth
