This shit is really funny. So Inter is involved in match fixing.... but unlike Jube scumbags, Inter is match fixing to lose. Hilarious shit

Italian champions Inter are alledged to have thrown away matches towards the end of last season in order to increase Scudetto odds, according to a damning report which has been released by the Italian Public Ministry and published in Friday's edition of Il Giornale.

The Milan-based paper leads with the headline: "Public Ministry: Inter Threw Away Games To Help Facilitate Gambling Bets."

The report claims the Nerazzurri, who eventually won the title on the last day of the season, drew and lost games in order to increase gambling odds regarding last season's Scudetto race.

In Particular, the report focuses on games from week 24 onwards where a number of betting agencies stopped taking bets on Inter winning the Scudetto.

The enquiry was carried out by Police at the request of the Public Ministry who are investigating allegations regarding a series of phone calls between the then Inter coach Roberto Mancini and a Mafia associate called Domenico Brescia.

Brescia is an Inter fan and he already faced the Italian justice system regarding allegations of drug dealing.

The report also highlights a number of different incidents during games and alleges that Zlatan Ibrahimovic's return from injury was postponed on purpose.

In addition, there are claims that Julio Cruz was told to leave the penalty in the penultimate game of the season against Siena to Marco Materazzi who missed, and the game ended 2-2. This meant the gap between Inter and Roma on the final day of the season was just one point.

Ibrahimovic returned from injury on the final day of the season to help Inter win against Parma and lift the Scudetto.

These claims are likely to rock the Nerazzurri as another scandal hits the Italian game.

I just can't believe this! Of course we all know how silly this is, and it doesn't even deserve a response. But the majority of people will just see "INTER SCANDAL" and start screaming and shouting.

I guess things were getting too good to us, they felt the need to stir some trouble.

The funniest thing is if this was true, it means we are so good that we can choose when to lose and when to win whenever we want :D

Inter president Massimo Moratti has decided not to comment on claims in Il Giornale newspaper which allege his club threw away matches in order to increase the Scudetto odds last season.

An enquiry, which has been released by a branch of the Italian government and published by Il Giornale, claims that the Nerazzurri fixed games towards the end of last season.

The news has rocked calcio this morning, but Moratti has refused to comment on the situation.

"I heard about the news this morning," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.

"However, I have not read the newspaper and therefore I cannot give any comment on the story. Thank you."

The report, which was conducted by Police on behalf of the Public Ministry, claims Inter threw away games from Week 24 of the 2007-08 season onwards.

One of those games was the penultimate match of the season where the Nerazzurri drew 2-2 with Siena.

In addition, there are claims suggesting Zlatan Ibrahimovic's return from injury was postponed in order to weaken the team.

More news is expected to follow as the story unfolds throughout the day.

--------------------------------

This made absolutely no sense because even a blind man could have told injuries had caught up to us and we were playing poorly. So I seriously don't think they have a strong case against us and I know you're supposed to play to win but just because you don't does not mean you didn't try. Also, there's certainly nothing with holding back Zlatan from playing as he was certainly injured.

Its a bullshit story. Already denied by the prosecutors office. We should sue these phucks but the judge will probably say just like with moggi that it was just an opinion.

The Public Prosecutors Office in Milan has denied reports which claim they had made an enquiry into allegations of match-fixing at Inter.

Il Giornale Newspaper published a report on Friday morning which claimed the Office had made an investigation into alleged match-fixing.

The Milan-based paper had claimed Inter threw away matches during the course of last season to favour betting odds on the Scudetto.

However, in a major twist to the story, the Prosecutors Office has strongly denied the claims that they have made an investigation into match-fixing.

A statement released by the Office and published in La Gazzetta Dello Sport reads:

"The Office would like to precise that no enquiry was ever made regarding the 2007/08 season and, in particular, Inter."

Il Giornale carried the story which alleged a number of matches were thrown away towards the end of the season to favour gambling odds.

One game in particular was the 2-2 draw between Inter and Siena on the penultimate day of the season.

Inter have not released any comment or statement regarding the claims.

lol. Goal.com tried to make a big story out of this shit. Italian football rocked by fixing scandal again. Inter in trouble blaah blaah.

Only for dumb idiotic asians and britishs to post oh Italian football is always like that, and for dumb milanese and gobbi fucks to say "haha clean team my ass". And to make it the most discussed topic.

The whole story is even to ridiculous to comment, and the funier thing is goal.com trying to make it seem real. "dielaugh:

I have to say that I'm so impressed of how Inter and its players managed to fake such a scenario like the one we witnessed last season.

I mean we must give everyone at Inter credit for their unbelievable acting skills and their ability to control the games in such manner. The best part in this piece of crap the part where Mancini asked Materazzi to take the decisive penalty against Siena instead Cruz in order to miss it!! :yuck::yuck::yuck:

MILAN - With regard to the impudent and misleading title that appeared on the front page of today's Il Giornale newspaper, reporting a declaration that was never made, F.C. Internazionale Milano confirms that, as stated by the Public Prosecutor's office in Milan, there is no investigation into the 2007/08 championship or Inter.

The Club will take any necessary legal proceedings to protect its image.

Moratti: "A farce"
Friday, 30 January 2009 14:31:57

MILAN - The article in today's Il Giornale newspaper regarding a police report about a presumed link between betting and last season's championship has been promptly denied by the Milan Public Prosecutor's office and described as "a farce" by Massimo Moratti. The Inter president underlined that his denial was unnecessary as there has already been a denial by the Public Prosecutor's office.
