My first post here, woop woop! Been following the forums for quite some time, but I think now is time.
I for one, think Keita Balde is the most exciting transfer for a long time. Sure, I was hyped when Joao Mario came, but this one... Boy I'm excited! I watched a whole lot of Lazio games last season and I was REALLY impressed by Keita. Perfect replacement for Perisic. Although Keita likes to cut inside more than licking the baseline, I believe this will open up alot of inside passes to a running Icardi. Get rid of Candreva replace him with ANYONE and I think this will become a great season for inter. Going in to this mercato, Keita was really the only one player I really wanted Inter to sign. So lets hope for the best.

Sidenote: Love that Joao Mario has got the #10. Think it will suit him perfectly and with Banega gone he will now get consistency which hopefully will allow him to perform the way I know he can! Forza Inter

Don't think that's fair. IMO Keita has shown more the last few years than Berna and is half the price and younger. Plus, signing Keita doesn't mean we can't/wont sign another winger.

Younger is irrelevant if the player doesn't play with a brain, you can give him a hundred years and he still won't develop into the player everyone hopes for.

I mean the dude has some good pace, dribbling, and shooting. But everything else leaves a lot to be desired.

Perisic, Candreva, and Keita together in the squad would be quality depth. I'm also holding out hope that this doesn't mean Perisic is gone.

Realistically, he's about as big as we can hope for. With no European football and a reputation for instability/underachievement - it is going to be very hard to convince anyone worth their salt to arrive.

We're in a similar situation to Juve under Conte. When he arrived, their two biggest signings were Pirlo (then considered to be past his prime) and Vidal - who at that time was an unproven player outside of Germany who only cost 10.5m. Matri and Quagliarella were also signed, but flopped.

I don't think we can attract any of the big names being accosted to us, honestly James, Vidal and Nainggolan (to an extent) will not come here at this stage.

I think with Keita we should look into the possibility of playing a 4312, with Joao Mario in the Figo role drifting out wide at times.

Guarin had a good goal scoring record too, there's more to the overall game than the number of goals, unfortunately. I sure hope the management isnt basing their purchase purely on the number of goals he scored last season.

I think Sabatini and Ausilio are better than than, Keita seems to be a player to always try to make something happen and he does have an eye for goal. That being said I haven't seen enough him to be sure but I think he's the kind of player we need since he doesn't hug the touchline so much and can give Icardi the necessary support.

On the Perisic thing, every rumour from Italy says that with Perisic we will get two players.

On the price tag, Keita has one year left on his contract that is why his fee is low, rumours suggest that Juventus are waiting for next season to sign him but it seems we're jumping the gun.

I would love to see us play with a SS next year, but I don't see a scenario where it happens.

The only way we end up playing with Keita as a SS is if we switch to a 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 of some sort, which would require us signing another CB and a defensive midfielder, and using Dalbert as a wing back.

Long story short, if we sign Keita, he's coming here to play LW.

For that 3-5-2 we only need to sign a quality CB. Dalbert seems more to be an attacking minded back--->wingback

Nope. I don't want Keita Balde. He's overrated and a bad egg which we have more than enough in our squad. If Inter wanted a Lazio player, they can get either Biglia, Immobile or Milkinikovic-Savic but Balde should not be anywhere being mentioned in the same breath as Inter.
