Looked at the table for a bit today (what a life I lead) and decided that only a win with a noticeably improved performance will suffice tonight for us to remain in the CL hunt. A draw would seem a decent result but I think it will only put us on course for europa league.

Whether we win or lose, play convincingly or not, I don't think has any bearing on the rest of the season. Being a Derby and all whatever happens tonight sadly might only be a one off (if we put on a good showing, that is).

I take your point that a win wouldn't achieve anything huge but don't you think a loss or draw would leave us looking really, really hopeless?
