Imma keep on eye on him this season. Him staying at Genoa is probably for the best. He's almost guaranteed playing time there which isn't so much a guarantee at Inter at this point.
oh yeah cause our midfield is just brimming with WC talent

So what"s the deal, price, contract, wage?
I think 50% of Kucka = 3m + 50% of Viviano => half of Kucka = 3m+2.1m = 5.1m Euro.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

16m for an unproven youngster is just.... madness. Right? Right????
Let's say we double that, we obtain 10.2m Euro. Where did you get the 16m? Are we talking about the same player here? He's young but he's not a youngster! Zárate is also 24 years old, do you consider him a youngster?

Your counting is wrong because 2,1 million is just the 25 % of Viviano. (We bought only 50 % of him for 4,1 million.....) so i dont get the point why you counted it only 2,1 :D

If you want to be total exact, the GK's total value is over 9 million (i remember his first 50 % wa bought around 5 million).

The value is now lover. Playing as a back up at inter, or back-up at Genoa later. Horrible injury, out for long time. I doubt ANY team would play more than 6-7 for him atm.

Am I the only one who thinks we got trolled out of this deal? I could care less about the exchange itself, but by keeping Kucka there and Viviano here this season, it means we can't use our player while they can't use theirs.

wtf?

Viviano is injured anyway. He will stay till January 2012, and leave for Genoa.

As for Kucka, i'd let him in Genoa till June. We have enough midfielders already :)

edit: just saw it's in the closed Kucka thread :palm: cmon Han, watch where you write :p

edit2: posts moved.

My point exactly. We're stuck with the injured player, while they can play Kucka. If we don't get any money out of this exchange, I think we're retarded.

With regards to the number of midfielders we currently have, what's the difference between getting him now and at the end of the season then?

Yes we might sell some of the current midfielders but who's to say that we're not gonna buy some new ones too?

its clear for the first,,
if we want kucka now, we should pay 5+half viviano,,
and we agree to take him at jan so we pay "just" 3+half viviano

see the difference?

If only 2 of Kucka, Obi, Poli, Crisetig & Alvarez end up being DM/CM starters for Inter I would consider it a massive success. Obi seems like he's not far off, it should be clear this season.

And if only 1 of Coutinho, Alvarez & Tassi end up being our starting AM I would also consider it a massive success.

Keeping in mind that we've spent very small amounts on these players, with the exception of Alvarez but because of their age, they still have a lot of value. If Alvarez doesn't work out for example, he can probably still be sold for €7mil+ meaning only €5 was spent on him...

How's that retarded? Kucka can play half a season in Genoa as a starter. We paid half of him already now => we value him => we expect him to develop => higher price when he develops. Like said, the price for 50% of Kucka to Inter now was 50% Viviano + 5-6m€ and Branca wasn't ready to pay that, instead he took Poli and paid 50% of Viviano + 3m€ for 50% of Kucka so that the player comes to Inter next year (dunno if it's Jan or Jun).

The stake for us in this deal is that we got our hands on Kucka now. If he develops greatly at Genoa/Inter (when he comes) we need to pay only half of his new value and not the whole package.

Anyway, the other 50% of Viviano was bought for 4,1m€ in this summer. But after that Viviano got that horrible injury and he's sidelined for at least 6 months (probably won't play much if at all in this season). So his value is definitely lower than 8m€ by now. That's why we can't calculate it directly that 50% of Viviano is still 4,1m€. We have to remember there is surely no club willing to pay actual 4 million euros to get half of Viviano's contract while the player can't even play and no one knows what he will be after the injury. We took a hit financially when Viviano got injured but we couldn't do anything about it.

I don't see anything special about him that another player in our squad cannot offer...
