Cuadrado initial injury was the first issue, but then Dumfries for playing so much, all the time (including the NT games) did the thing, got injured and that was the second issue. We had to force Cuadrado back, he's been playing with pain (mentioned few times by the coach) ie. he came back to play without proper healing back to full fitness.

We got to admit that even if they both were fit to play, they are not good enohgh. Dumfries is strong and have good pace but thats it.

But yeah, old players with injury problems should be avoided.

The thing is he didn't really have big injury problems in his career. An achilles injury isn't something that we had any reason to fear when we signed him.

Cuadrado wasn't a terrible idea from management as a cheap stop gap option for a year. However, you always take a risk when you sign aging players.

In a way, I feel for the guy. It takes balls to sign for us after Juve, and you could tell that he really wants to win us over, but sometimes things just don't work out the way you intend them to, despite your best efforts.

Yeah he needs to go immediately in January. Like I’ll give him some props for having the balls to even try playing for us and for seeming to want to make it right with our guys after the Handanovic fiasco. But let’s cut our loses and attempt to at least get someone useful.
