Winning with Real against probably best Barca team ever was not impressive.. Motta's assistant coach.. This forum is sometimes really funny.

No kidding. Mourinho's first Clásico was a manita, that's how far ahead Barcelona was of Madrid (especially in the psychological aspect of the game) when Mourinho came aboard. By the end of that same season, Barcelona was still the better team and won a controversial UCL semifinal (what Barcelona UCL knockout stage tie wasn't controversial in those days?) but Mourinho had also overseen a win in a final against Barcelona and the gap clearly had closed. By the end of the second season, he'd managed Real Madrid to winning the league over Pep's last Barcelona team.

The image of Mourinho is fading because he's stuck around so long past his best-by date. His managerial peak was incredible. Fuck, look at the forum I'm on, I don't need to explain this to anyone.

Mourinho era was 2003-2013
He left Madrid and they started winning because of his job there, signing Modric and giving personality to them, that team was a prostitutes-house with no control and with shitty decisions, plus they always went out in the 1'8's of CL against Lyon and Roma. He went there and went all the way into the semis almost final thanks to Ramos penalti.

After 2014 things were not at as good for him because of the Karma, leaving Inter was not a good decision.

I only saw Roma play against Inter earlier on in the season. It was one of the most lifeless performances I've seen from an opponent. Could hardly imagine that was a Mourinho coached team.

Anyhow, I love Mourinho and always liked him. But since he left Inter - I slightly 'enjoyed' his failures, knowing Inter will always remain the pinnacle of his career. Oh, yes....correct. Earning 2nd place with Manure was his pinnacle . ;)

I'd rather not win a Scudetto but at least play fun football with Inzaghi than trust Mourinho to not lose the team in three seasons

He should've retired after our triplete.

Sadly he has become the most obvious-easy-to-read coach.

Since Inter he only divides each dressing room he is in, and pulls ridiculous stunts. Crazy, dumb, cringe stunts.

I feel embarrassed when I think of the time he sent Duda? to tell Casillas to get a yellow card... I mean... What the actual fuck. It was Duda right? Oh noo Dudek... Who the fuck is Duda? It's not Dida... Oh it's that Brazilian footballer, retired long time ago.

Ok bye. Lol

Honestly, if you were to ask Roma fans upon Mou's arrival if they are fine with a Conference trophy and EL final in two successive seasons, most of them would've taken it in a heartbeat.

Their current standing on the Serie A table is exactly where their roster of players deserves to be. What he achieved with Roma's players is the club's effective maximum right now regardless of who manages the squad.
They have the third highest wage bill in the league.

Roma's team may not be great, but not sure I agree that Mourinho couldn't do better with this team. You look at a team like Fiorentina who went to two Cup finals last season and are currently 4th in Serie A and I don't think anyone would say that Fiorentina has a better team than Roma. That's just one example.

I think Mourinho did well in Europe with Roma - getting to the final last season was a very good accomplishment imo. However, I do think he has been poor in the Coppa Italia and the league for the most part. The last two years Roma had issues as they had problems with FFP, however a large part of that was because they didn't make CL after spending big in Mourinho's 1st season where they spent around 130 million to bring in players, and finished 6th.

He should take a breather for a while, step back, clear up his mind, and update his coaching method. Roma are currently sitting at 9th while they are third in the payroll. Bologna, Fiorentina, Atalanta, and Lazio are above them although they have less reputable players. And Mourinho doesn't show any good prospect either. His attack sucks, his famous counter attack is laughable now, his build up play is non-existent, he doesn't bond well with the dressing room, and he doesn't improve players. He is being sacked by Madrid, Chelsea, MU, Tottenham, and now Roma. The only positive things are a sporadic magic in the continental cups and theatrical acts which are far from enough to offset his deficiencies. He should take a sabbatical to sort himself because I don't see he would even survive a lower table club with his outdated approach.

I'm going to miss him, cause he's always been good copy and very good coach. He was the only person I liked when he was at ManU. His time at Roma, was a mixed bag tbf and this year with Lukaku, Dybala, Spinazzola and Pellegrini being either injured, off the boil, or in real decline prehaps a mixture of all three hasn't helped. Probably needs to take a break, then if there's an opening in Portugal NT take that.

Who said Mourinho would win at Inter in those two seasons and a half? I don't. That's why I see Inzaghi as a more reliable and stable coach right now
i used that tweet, cause both of you mentioned fun. Nothing to do with Mourinho... I also don't think he would be a great choice for Inter.

Completely agree about his prime era, he is in decline for some time now. But although i m still butthurt about his decision to leave us, objectively speaking he didn't make a mistake there. He won everything, and the only way was down, plus the way we were run after tripleta in banter era years and until few years into suning reign and marotta coming here god almighty wouldn't help us let alone mourinho...
