Well, he's certainly more mobile than Icardi...and more comfortable on the ball.

Looks promising. I certainly think the way forward is a forward with a more rounded game. Whether he has the ability to step up to European level is another thing entirely though. I still think if we bought him we would be better off loaning him out. I mentioned Verona as my preferred choice in the rumour thread as he could benefit from having Toni to learn from. Genoa is lacking a quality CF and we have a good relationship with him. While Frosinone is probably the weakest side as far as strikers go in the league, so that wouldn't be a terrible destination either

Ok, so we're selling Icardi if this guy comes in January. Looks pretty mediocre to me but what do I know...

I don't think we are selling Icardi regardless of whether or not we get Calleri. If we do sell Icardi I also don't think we will be putting Calleri straight into the line up, we will use Jovetic as CF and probably partner him with Palacio/Ljajic.

In Argie land they write like it's a done deal in Italy no word...

So this reporter who is apparently close to Calleri said that next week he is gonna sign with us and we will pay 12 mil dollars (10mil EUR).He could go on loan but details are unknown.

However in Italy they report nothing of the sort...

The reporter responded to the claim that in Italy there is no news by saying that the money will come from an investment fund not from Inter...

Ok...

[Football Italia] Report: Calleri to Inter done

FI saying it's a done deal per reports from Arg. Agree with dude that we're not looking at him as a straight replacement for Icardi. Mancini has already demonstrated he can field a solid team without Icardi in the lineup.

I think we probably needed another developmental striker, regardless. I think he has to start at another side in Serie A, as we're out of non-EU roster spots, right? Hopefully he shows he can perform in Italy 2nd half of this season and that way we don't need to extend Palacio['s hair.]

I read that he's actually coming to Italy to collect his Italian passport first and foremost. Manaj is surely going to get loaned somewhere.

Di Marzio tweeted that Calleri is probably going on loan to Bologna via Inter for the next 6 months...because of the non EU rule as we have no vacant slots for this season and his passport and paper work won't be ready it seems,Chelsea gave up because of the work permit issues.
If he shows positive games at Bologna he could join our team next summer.
However his contract now is in the hands of a Stellar Group and not Inter

I don't understand how this works tbh...

Why Bologna? Destro has actually started hitting form. Anyways it's all just speculation for now so I'll wait to comment.

Looks like we did well to miss out on Imbula. He hardly ever starts for Porto. Despite every football expert knowing that he is better than Allan :enjoy:

We are deciding on who to sign between Telles and Ljajic, and we are bringing in this guy, that was boosted by Tevez heavily?

Arent Telles AND Ljajic more important?

Dont blame me,I sense the new Ricky Alvarez guys...

We still have half a year to exercise our purchasing options on both Ljajic and Telles, no? And most probably we're going to get them both, disregarding other incoming transfers we are planning on.
