Imho he should be a sure starter in midfield!! I m sick and tired of seeing deki/cuchu/Motta midfield and none of them can run with the ball at their feet. I mean i still think they are all very usefull to this team but our midfield is so fucking static with all of them playing together. So please ranieri get it in your head that obi should start in midfield unless deki somhow manages to run again for 90 min or we get a proper box to box midfielder.

I totally agree.that's how it is..Obi should be a starter.

His passing has started to let him down recently. Too much miscommunication which leads to completely miserable passes. His energy is something we need but his play with the ball isn't at the required level IMO. Not sure about going on loan, but by doing so he could probably play week in week out which can't be bad for his development.

Already gave up on the dude? Come on. He showed that he's among those youngsters who have a bright future and he showed that he has potential to become a regular player. Certainly he was much better before a while but you guys shouldn't expect too much from a youngster. We're not a team who can produce youngsters like Thiago, Gotze, etc.

I wouldn't loan him, or send him out of the club. Our midfield has quite injury-prone starters like Sneijder, Thiago Motta, and also Poli seems to be one of them too, let alone Deki, so we will surely need Obi to fill positions when those are off. He's a kind of player with energy so having him in the line-up would bring freshness in the game, and he's pretty solid tbh.

In time, he could be an Edgar Davids if he isn't so scared of making mistakes and getting shit from the grandpas (Milito getting mad at him cuz his majesty can't be bothered to run on balls from Obi the kid). Seemed kind of lost today, but can't blame him when the rest of the midfield was constantly just as wonderful passing to the many ghosts that graced the pitch.

He was injured when we got him, and he wasnt even ready when we played Lugano. He just got the same injury, or better yet, prolonged his return. It was one injury

I agree though, Obi should not be loaned, unless we get another midfielder, which is unlikely. And i will definitely not write him off.

I don't want Inter to loan out OBi, he's young , can develop game after game. He's playing LMF not CMF or something else, i would like to see how will suit in CMF positon, we need fresh legs and Obi is almost ideal in this aspect. Also our politics to loan players resulted to be mediocre.

Of course, since they ARE mediocre.

He plays well in the centre, but on the wing he has been a bit suspect.

Then again, he played brilliantly there in the Super Cup- so perhaps he's just low on confidence. He may not be a starter, but he's worthy of a spot on the bench now and in the future. I'd rather see him play than Deki or Muntari. People seem to have forgotten how consistent he was earlier this season- the dude was our only positive under Gasperini!
