10 years of FIFIt doesn`t matter. There are 2 types of bad transfers. The ones who don`t make sense at all from the beginning, when the most ask themselves, why? And the transfers were you can see what they want and why they thought that player may help. Correa came in the second category.
We need to remember what happened when we bought him. Lukaku was sold to Chelsea and we were stuck with only Lautaro and Dzeko at the end of mecato. Fiorentina refused our Vlahovic bid. Atalanta wanted too much money for Zapata. There were not many options left. In those days we all wanted a fast player who can dribble and unlock the defences. Correa had those attributes, his negative was the tunnel vision.
He was at the right age, accustom with Serie A and with Inzaghi`s style. One could expect that he would integrate in the team pretty easily.
At the end of the day, it turn out to be a massive failure. But why we bought him, what was our management thinking, I can understand that.
Some transfers didn`t work, from one reason or another.

We will probably try to loan him out for free and pay 50% of his salary. Destination is then some Serie A club.

He was one of those Argentine players who I never rated, and when we were linked to him I said in this very forum that he's not worth it. He was never as bad as he was as Inter player, but still he was not worth the money Lazio was asking for him.
He was a bad invest and our board are the blame for it because they were too lazy and uncreative to look somewhere else to fill the gap made by the Lukak's departure.
