We should have just loaned him to Portugal, a league where he can look like a top player again so we can at least get some of his transfer fee back. Oh well...

Yeah, like how we loaned gabigoal to his league in brazil

Complications for Joao Mario

Inter outcast Joao Mario could reportedly return from Lokomotiv Moscow because of the current financial crisis in European football. The news from Russia was not the one Inter hoped for, but Calciomercato.com writes that the Nerazzurri might be forced to find a new solution for the Portuguese midfielder.

The 27-year-old moved on loan to Lokomotiv Moscow ahead of the season and has claimed he doesn’t want a return to Inter, but the Russian side’s President has revealed the financial issues has led to new plans.

We must pull the brakes and can’t afford big investments,” patron Anatoly Mescheriakov said, according to Calciomercato.com. “It’s unthinkable to sign both [PSG loanee Grzegorz] Krychowiak and Joao Mario.

“I would add that there will be eight departures, important players who will be replaced by young people or those already in the squad.”

Joao Mario therefore looks set for a return to Inter but will most likely be shipped again but the club will most likely not get the full amount of €18m in the previous deal with Lokomotiv.

It might also be difficult to get a club to sign the former Sporting CP player on a permanent deal and Calciomercato.com claims the player might have to leave on loan again this season.

Personally, I’m hella excited for Joao Mario, wingback extraordinaire.

While I appreciate the cosmic irony, I hate that we have to suffer Jao Mario's karmic retributions

I find the transfer links to new clubs really amusing. Every transfer window, there are links to new clubs but those links inevitably die in the arse and everything goes silent.

A few months ago, I remember reading an article that Lokomotiv were giving serious thought to acquiring him on a permanent basis only to let him to return to Inter. The most recent rumour is that Marseille are interested in him.

Post number #2609 on page 131 of this thread has his Lokomotiv presentation photo. I fell that photograph pretty much sums him up. He is wearing a smile that leads you to believe that he knows how much of a phony he is and he is well aware of how shit a player he is. It is almost like he knows that him being a starter in any football team is a running joke or the equivalent of a Portuguese heist.

Joao Mario is like a model with a high opinion of herself. She has many suitors until they realise she has AIDS and then no one wants to fuck with her.

In this case the COVID19 fucked us all. Pretty sure Lokomotiv would have signed him, maybe with a slight discount (like for 15m€, his book value). Now the situation is no one will buy him, only loan.

He said his agent has told many "European top clubs" have asked about him and he will take his time to decide what to do. Hopefully we could somehow get rid of him for around 15m€ for good.

Nuno Santo has a fetish for Portuguese players, hopefully Wolverhampton comes in with an offer and takes him with that EPL money. I doubt any 'big clubs' would be after him, though he still is only 27.

Don't have one.

Regarding his agent comment, someone wrote on facebook that's like your mom saying you're the most beautiful dude in the world

Hopefully we can offload him, preferably to some english midtable club like everton. Perfect fit for them :D
