Is anyone really surprised that no one is biting our hands off for Mario? I'd take the first 18mil offer and run.

Joao Mario is one step away from joining Sevilla, agreement with Inter is close
TRANSFER MARKET
The outgoing market of Inter is heating up. After Nainggolan, Perisic and now the next to leave is going to be Joao Mario. In fact, according to Libero, Sevilla are pressing very hard to sign the Portuguese midfielder, offering €4M loan plus €16M option to buy, and an agreement is just one step away.

“Sevilla offer €4M loan option to buy at €16 for 26-year-old Joao Mario. Inter are asking for a bit more and the agreement can be found in a few days.”

Inter want more?! WTF. Take it and run. If Sevilla want to flush 9m down the toilet this season, thats not our problem.

no....and Sevilla will 100% not activate that option.

But 4mil is better than dry loan.

I don't understand why they would want him if they have 4 midfielders who are better than him.

Very unlikable guy overall. He’s too delusional to realize that he is not even remotely good enough for Inter, or any club with similar aspirations for that matter. This fool hasn’t shown a glimpse of motivation in like 2,5 years during the scarce minutes he gets on the pitch these days. Don’t know what he is smoking but I see nothing world class about his walking around the pitch as well as his occasional „shot” which is about as powerfull as a limp bread with butter thrown at the keeper.

Proceeds to blame the league because the last person responsible for his abysmal „performances” is of course Joao Mario himself.
Nowadays he’s just rejecting offers left and right from clubs which are more suited for his skill level but relegation sides are not deemed good enough by the second coming of Zidane.

10/10 twat points

In a way, Mario reminds remind me a little of Renato Sanches who moved from Befica to Bayern only for him to flop and end up on a loan to Swansea. Players like Sanches and Mario look great when they play in Portugal or for the Portuguese national team but they turn to shit when they have to play and apply themselves abroad.

To this day, I can not believe we paid forty million for him and he has not even justified half of that fee. The reason he does not look very motivated is because he gets paid for making cameo appearances as a substitute where he only has to play for 10 minutes. Do you know what pisses me off about him? He plays like a fruitcake. He runs around like a fairy and would be better suited to ballet than football. He also looks as though he simply can't be fucked. He's just out there to make up the numbers and get paid.

The biggest problem with Mario is that he is scared of hard work and has absolutely no fight in his game. Not to mention the fact that he overestimates himself and thinks that he should be playing for a top club when in actual fact, he should be at Grimsby Town FC or doing ballet.

I had the same odd feeling. Nice to know that I am not the only one.

Really hope that he will finally leave our club. A loan would not really help because then he will be back next year. Sell him even with a loss, I don't really care tbh.

I changed it from the original word to something more family friendly. Fruitcake is an American term.

Hahahaha fair enough,
Out of all 3 of us the Americans are far more conservative with the language, us Brits throw a few F bombs and C bombs around,
but the Aussie's.. they are on a whole different level.
