Unproven player ?

Unproven in any bigger league. If the only league you've played in has best teams in Porto, Sporting and Benfica, you are unproven. Yeah he won Euros, but how many matches he played at that level? It's not like Joao Mario had some convincing performances out there. Sporting fans supposedly says he played his best season last season when he was deployed as RW, but in Euros he didn't quite succeeded in that role. It might have been restrictions to his role by the coach, but nevertheless, it wasn't convincing, in terms of the position.

Haha. 51 pages for absolutely nothing. If we do intend to splash 50 million, do it instead then on someone more quality than Mario.

Spend this money on Fabregas to be honest. He'd be a quality addition to our midfield.

For 50M€ i'd probably preffer to see rising stars, for the center of the pitch Mahmoud Dahoud or Goretzka. To play in a more attacking role Max Meyer or Stendera. And then there is Yunus Mallı, a cheaper version of a player like Joao Mario, cheaper and with better stats.
These demands by the Sporting President are ridiculous, just send him back home by stating the obvious to him and that is: We are not interested in buying a pig in a poke.

PS: #Sporting would like the 5 million bonus for #JoaoMario to be inserted as obligation! /10m loan + 35m obligation/

FROM PORTUGAL: UPDATES will follow later on today. Bruno de Carvalho is a tough negociater but full deal will be finalised in the next hours.

I really wish we had a second target, something real I mean (not these Moussa Sissoko bullshit rumor targets). So that we would have some leverage here and we could just tell Carvalho the president that "well we go this way then if you try to squeeze more and more out of us".

45m€ is already a ridiculous amount of money for an unproven player like Joao Mario. I mean NO OTHER CLUB is willing to pay anything close to that price so I ask: what the fuck? If we pull out now, Carvalho is fucked.

Obviously reported! gotta be a troll this user. How dare you to go against the big Kim-Jung-Carvalho leader? Inter should pay what sporting wants, when they want in their own terms! they are rulers of the galaxy!

SM: Suning gives green light for the transfer of #JoaoMario and #Gabigol (or alternative #Tevez). For FFP Suning will add new sponsor of the training kit and will transfer some players to JS Suning in winter Chinese mercato!

Most of the Portuguese national squad.

there are quite a few that are going away pretty young and can be good prospects of players in europe: bernardo silva (monaco), raphael guerreiro (borussia dortmund), andré gomes (barcelona), rafa from braga (about to leave), renato sanches (bayern munich), to name a few.

as for the player on topic, in the end he will be worth whatever the buyer decides to pay and that includes the risk of success/insuccess having in mind that for 50M€ means Inter will be a final destination, not a pit-stop to a doped plastic club.

you aren't answering my question. I'm asking who the last player left Portuguese League and made a cut into other European Leagues was, regardless their nationality.

However, if you suggest most of Portuguese NT made a cut in other European Leagues.. most of them left Portugal between 2007-2010. So, in the last 6 years there hasn't really been any talents from there.

The one I can remember is probably Falcao in 2011 who made a cut in Atletico Madrid although he only lasted for 2 seasons.

It's always the same with this portuguese teams.
They ask big money for their players and they have patience like no one else :yao:

Just let him stay where he is, we can buy an other great midfielder with this money.

That is a problem the PT league has had from always: visibility. You clearly haven't payed any atention to what happens on peripheric leagues (you should if you like this sport as much as we do). Portugal has been of the most exporting prime matter countries in europe, mostly because of the ratio price/quality. We cannot afford mega salaries and our economy is what it is: on its knees. So we import names such as: David Luiz, Falcao, Mangala, Pepe, Ronaldo, Nani, Garay, DiMaria, Gaitan, Matic, Cardozo, Éder, Jackson Martinez, Hulk, James, Witsel, Javi Garcia, Fabio Coentrao, Simao Sabrosa, Deco....see a patern here? (all Benfica or oporto?)

So, these demands on looney president carvalho are nothing but a delusion from a fool. sporting means nothing in european panorama on the last 30 years and he wants to sell scrap for gold.

Icardi for 60 mil vs. Joao Mario for 50 mil. Just see the difference. Joao Mario is not on Icardi's level and they want to rob us for this guy who i haven't even heard about, or seen him play.

i think we will get him eventually. it's just that everyone is pushing to gain more (or spend less) but everyone wants this deal done, so i'm sure they'll find a solution. which isn't necessarily a good thing for Inter (spending 45 for him probably means that we will have less money for other players), but that's another point.

similar with brozo
same age, same national team starter, same position.
brozo is even proven by the club. getting paied 1.2M per year and we are reluctant to give him a decent starter pay raise.

He only valued half of JM, and JM ofc, will be paied 3M a year at least here.

JM, at this price, age, is suppose to be better than Xhaka, or at least as good as. which I doubt

GdS says the deal is in the "port" as Sporting agreed to the deal of 45mil
With loan and obligatory buy with prefixed numbers, final minor details to be sorted out still doe but the deal doesn't seem it can fail now

I'll just respond to those names:
David Luiz - 2011.
Falcao - 2011.
Mangala - hasn't made a real cut.
Pepe - 2007
Ronaldo - 2003
Nani - 2007
Garay - Spanish product
Di Maria - 2010
Gaitan - just left, unproven.
Matic - Eastern european product and Chelsea to some extent.
Cardozo - is this Oscar Cardozo? Left Benfica for Trabzonspor? :yao: He is made in South America btw.
Eder - the guy who scored in the final? oh please. He didn't even make a cut in Swansea City. Just because he scored in Euro final it doesn't make him a great talent.
Jackson Martinez - failed in Spain, went to China. lol.
Hulk - Made in Japan.
James Rodrigues - 2013.
Witsel - Made in Belgium.
Javi Garcia - Made in Spain. Went to Manchester City and failed to make a cut.
Coentrao - never really make a cut in Real Madrid.
Sabrosa - 2007.
Deco - 2004.

See a pattern here? there is only James Rodriguez in the last 5 years and even he is not really making a real deal.
