This looks like one more case of not selling players are right time, obviously with benefit of hindsight. Maicon, Sneijder, Perisic all had good bids turned down and then their performance levels drooped (for various reasons), so did their value.

Perisic was integral for us in our CL spot hunting campaign last season. We got Man Utd bid before that season. Not sure if we got bids last summer but if we did that would have been the place to sell, of course hindsight is 20/20.

Man wtf! It was obvious that he wanted out when in the barca pre game conference he said he still dreams of the EPL. But i never would have thought that he s such an unprofessional cuck who stops performing in order to get his wish!

The worst thing about this is that it's not us kicking him out for his past shitty calendar year. He should be ashamed of himself.

according to FcInterNews.it, which claim to have their own sources, arsenal offer to perisic a contract till june 2022, for around 6.5 million euros a year after taxes.

Yeah yeah, but they should show the money to Marotta. What the fuck do they think? Perisic is not the obstacle there, Marotta is.

At this stage we should lower the current fee demands of 40m... 30m would be totally fine.
Also Arsenal are eyeing Malcolm.

He is training apart from the main squad, I wonder if Arsenal offers us peanuts and we obviously won't succumb what will Marotta do? Just freeze him out till July?

Well if you start dating a girl, while she is cheating on her boyfriend, than expect to be cheated by that same slut in the future.

Disappointed, but I understand. Or, I understand, but I'm still disappointed.

:einstein:

Perisic is one of the best players we've signed since the treble, make no mistake about it. The uniqueness in his build as a powerful and physically dominant, two-footed winger with great heading was a potentially key weapon and has been used super effectively in his national team squad. It's been fucking brilliant at times here too. But just like plenty of other players with plenty to offer over the years, we, as a club, simply can not build on it. We can not take what players give and turn it into something rewarding, like genuinely 'competing' for titles consistently. It's really no surprise so many players burn out amidst all the insecurity and chaos and 'unkept promises' of the club.

I remember him doing weights after training had ended and I remember instagram posts of him doing stretching and yoga in the off-season break. I remember him telling Brozovic to keep his head up and encouraging him and applauding him when the fans were against him. He really was a model professional for a while.

Sadly this model professionalism has eroded in the past 12 months as he clearly has not had the motivation to play for this shirt anymore. Perhaps it's also this model professionalism which has lead him to this conclusion, that he must look after his own interests and get the fuck out of this sinking ship. He is not blameless in that sinking, but considering how well he played in general during his time here, I am understanding/disappointed, but I am understanding/disappointed.

Should have made the demand in December and quietly...

Now he is a cunt for doing it so late and not giving us much of an option because only Arsenal is looking

Hope a huge Chinese Offer comes and we send him there :)

Mancini's transfers in 2015/16:

Kondogbia, Perisic, Shaqiri, Jovetic, Melo, Eder, Montoya, Santon, Murillo, Ljajic, Telles.

So Perisic was the last man standing, I believe.

Confused why you would leave a club that rarely challenges for titles for one that never does
