So after 5 rounds we are alone on top, Meelan trailing by 3pts. This is a fantastic start, defeared Fiorentina and Milan easily. Our gd is 14-1 .

Last year after matchday 5 we were 7th! 3W 2L 11-8 gd

So, our target is 8/8 before next international break. Last year Napoli , after 8th were 1st.

6W 2D 18-6

Where were we? 8th. 4W 4L!!!!!! 14-13 gd

Huge improvements if we pull those 3 wins. They look good after a draw vs Napoli and a big win vs Rube.

Hakan: "Last season we dropped many points vs smaller sides. We want to change that this year"

I'm convinced the CL final left them hungry for more, but was also a realization for the players that they are among the best in Europe.

It also doesn't hurt that we have a better team.

Based on what I've seen we should win the league easily. All the other top teams have glaring weaknesses, or are flat out awful.

Sure we're at the top with perfect results, best attack and best defense, but I won't celebrate too early because a couple of injuries to our attackers and midfield may halt our run. Our depth up front literally depends on the already injured Arnautovic and no other than Sanchez. Also no one to me seems to fill Hakan's role yet in case of a long injury. Other than that, I don't see any club being able to stop our perfect run really.

What's the issue with that?

You prefer fans going to players' instagram and facebook pages and threatening them or posting shit on TwitterX?

If anything, this is one of the few things that still make sense in football and isn't driven by some American derived trend...
Absolutely. This is so on point. Fans bringing it to the players keeps the football real. Where that doesn't happen, it's all just fake, pure business for each participant (owners, players, fans).

Nothing against fans showing unhappiness for bad results, but NOT at this way of post-match call overs and making it look cringe af.

Well, Lazio fans used to cover their entire training ground with horse shit, so not sure which practice is more acceptable :D

You are implying our bench options for attack aren't highly suspect. It's a glaring weakness to me.

Our first team is cool, but as soon as something happens to Lautaro or Thuram, it's going to suck to watch us play. I can already see it.

Also, Inzaghi, as good as he is as a cup manager, still complicates his life with some of his choices.

Limone has gotten his shit together. There is a significiant improvement how he prepares the team ahead of match, how he dictates through it and everything else. Maybe sometimes he makes some decision that go ahead of himself but the guy is doing just right these days and credit must be given. There is a great atmosphere withing our group. Also team has matured a lot, so all the credit goes to Limone for it, and of course to our directors for giving him quality options.

I would agree - he's gotten much better with his substitutes. He used to introduce them super late into the game, now he's on top of things. His other habit is also fading a bit - immediately subbing players on yellow cards out.

We have the best depth in the league, but there's not a team in the league that can afford to have real depth. Especially up front as strikers are so costly. Milan would be wrecked with no Giroud, and especially would be terrible without Leao. Juve would have no depth in their defense, and likewise only have one creative player in Cheisa. Roma are incredibly Dybala dependent, and maybe Lukaku now too. And Napoli gets carried by Osimhem.

So while I agree, we lack depth up front. I feel that's universal across the league. If we're especially unlucky with injuries vs the other top sides it could prove costly, but we can only really compare ourselves with our competitors.
