Will be very surprised if Juve drops a single point from now on. Their hardest games are Lazio, Sassuolo, and Roma.

Lazio might get something out of pride, but other than that, it’s looking like another 90+ point season for them.

They will probably drop points against their bitch, Roma. Especially if Roma need the points.

Too angry to post earlier

Juve won the last 7 titles do they really need to openly cheat for their 8th. The next team is 3 wins away from then

If you won the first 7 by openly cheating, then that's the only way you know how to win. It shouldn't surprise people.

While i feel very sorry for Atalanta, both were clear penalties. Especially the Muriel one...

Cannot believe I would ever say this, but Atalanta's first goal is a single piece of play that Inter should aspire to.
They pressed collectively, they managed to dispossessed and delivered the ball quickly to forwards. Then Papu and Zapata, only 2 players, managed to slice through the sea of defence fearlessly by interchanging with the combination of understanding to team's strategy and teammate movement as well as guile to move the ball within tight space. And it was carried out against the strongest team in the league while our hundred millions teams shitted the bed against them, twice. It took 2 penalties to stop them from winning while just a week ago we cannot win with penalty and red card handed to us. The difference is just too far and embarassing.

Yeah that first goal was perfection. Their patience, calm, and decisiveness on the goal was just sex.

I hope Candreva learns how to do this right. Instead of crossing, he should target the defender’s arm.

Atalanta defends better. You would rarely have one on one but two overlapping players. Skriniar was left alone with the Verona player and we conceded a goal.

By these rules, I'm sure players will now start to practice aiming your kick at the opponents hands since it is guaranteed to be called pk (except for DeLigt).

The first one, his hand is tucked into his body. If his hand wasn't there, it would hit his mid-to-upper torso. But then if his hand wasn't there, then it would be away from his body. Caught between a rock and a hard place there. Definitely NOT an offense.

Second one falls under FIFA's "usually an offense"...but we've seen DeLigt do these a lot and not be penalized. Too much leeway for the refs, and in both cases, the ref did not use VAR.

OK. Here's the rules. Pretty :palm:

There's 3 levels.
(1) Definite offense
(2) Possible offense
(3) Not an offense

By including #2, FIFA has flat out allowed organizations and refs too much leeway. There's also direct contradiction between a scenario in #2 and #3, which is dumb (I underlined below).

Handling the ball
It is an offence if a player:
• deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the
hand/arm towards the ball
• gains possession/control of the ball after it has touched their hand/arm
and then:
• scores in the opponents’ goal
• creates a goal-scoring opportunity
• scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/arm, even if
accidental, including by the goalkeeper

It is usually an offence if a player:
• touches the ball with their hand/arm when:
• the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger
• the hand/arm is above/beyond their shoulder level (unless the player
deliberately plays the ball which then touches their hand/arm)
The above offences apply even if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm
directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is
close.

Except for the above offences, it is not usually an offence if the ball touches
a player’s hand/arm:
• directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot)
• directly from the head or body (including the foot) of another player who is close
• if the hand/arm is close to the body and does not make the body unnaturally
bigger
• when a player falls and the hand/arm is between the body and the ground to
support the body, but not extended laterally or vertically away from the body

Their second goal against Napoli was pretty much the same. Two players were able to unlock Napoli's left flank and then easy cross to Gossens.

we are all rightfully praising atalanta for their amazing run, but i was thinking of this: coronavirus has killed lazio's chances to win the title.

clearly, it's nobody's fault, but we went from a scenario in which juventus played every three days and lazio once a week, to the present situation where everyone plays twice a week, with the big difference that juventus have a much deeper roster.

this has also affected us of course, but slightly less than lazio, and we were slightly behind to begin with.

atalanta is an exception so far, but in my opinion, they will eventually run out of steam, too.

Remember the beginning of last year's CL Final? It's already happening. Sissoko had his arm out as a means of directing traffic in the box; Mane saw that and took a shot right at the outstretched arm. Boom - penalty.

Yeah was watching Real Madrid vs Alaves on Friday. Even with Marcelo, Carvajal and Ramos unavailable they managed to smoothly win 2-0 and control the whole game wonderfully. Teams with no squad depth are doing worse.

Even if they had lost for Atalanta to catch up to them
Is impossible. Inter and Lazio have just imploded

What point in making them tie this thing.

Yea so funny when people say Italy is like Germany and a 1 horse race. Bayern actually win their games

The greyness of the rule is actually embarrassingly pathetic. VAR actually provides zero clarity and does nothing to help define the offence or provide a clear and unmistakeable decision if the rule is written in such a way for the referee to basically decide whatever he wants for himself. You can run the tape a hundred times, if the referee calls it, he calls it. Sad.

Milan takes the lead against Napoli. Great assist by Rebic and goal by Theo.

Honestly glad we don’t have to play Milan again this season. Not looking like the guaranteed 3 points it’s been in recently

Milan gunning hard for that top 4 spot which Inter and Lazio seem intent on giving away.

Milan will win. They are on fire. A draw would be best for us though.
