Don't forget that defenders always have longer career than midfielders so clearly before matrix and cordoba turn into statues Zanetti and Vieira will do.
Inter never lack money to buy players simply because Moratti always pay it out of his own pocket.Do you think it's fair for our president?how long can this situation last?even so every year our club are in red deficit.especially the tact that now we will play some matches in closed door make things even worse.
I hope Andreolli can replace materazzi from 08-09.if things don't go well we still have burdisso+cordoba as first choice and andreolli as a substitute

and matrix at 34 will last longer than vieira at 31?? vieira has amazing stamina as well

he will easily last longer than either of cordoba or matrix

We need Samuel ,he is a good defender , young and can improve very much in 2 or 3 years. Also,we are trying to get Chivu in summer and let's remember what good couple were Chivu and Samuel at Roma .

i do think that Chivu will be a good replacement of Matrix for our squad (defender with good long passes), but with Barca, Valencia, Real and bunch of EPL clubs being after him, I don't really think we will have any chance.

I just hope that we stick to what we have now. Although Matrix-Samuel is somewhat horrible, Burdisso can partner any of them and form a good defense line.

not that we won't be able to compete with other big boys out there, roma will be reluctant to sell chivu to another serie A contender. agreed to stick with our current players, coz i do want to see burdisso commanding our backline, in the future ofc.

You'll be mad to sell Samuel, he's coming into his prime as a defender. 28-31 is when it all gels, it takes experience to stop the best strikers going around.

Can only see Samuel going in a player exchange for someone who is top shelf, eg a Messi or Buffon, and that's only if Samuel loses patience waiting for regular 1st team action.

we are VERY close of signing chivu. IMO he is a great addition to our squad. he can play cb, lb and dmf. he can cover those 3 positions easily. and i think samuel will leave, he didnt find space this year(although he was injured), so what will he do with the addition of chivu in our defense line?

He will be part of our defense, he will be rotated as we dont just need 2 CB's for the whole season. Samuel, Matrix, Chivu, Burdisso
