my team for shaktar trip

adriano martins
solari pizarro cambiasso deki
wome materazzi cordoba javier
toldo

only thing that can change is left flank

if kily is fit and favalli they can both replace solari and wome for away game

pizarro must play, not veron, shaktar players will run like never in their life so veron cant help us like pizarro can in this game

Everyone says how good they are but I want to see Inter as continouing what we started from the 2nd half of last season, hard to beat us, winning streak, strong defense, lethal attack..

I want to believe that we can win it all with Samuel in the back line and new faces of Solari and Pizzaro, its so bad if we start to worry about them ,, what we will do if we are gonna play Chelsea, Barca, Bayern M, or Real later,, are we gonna panic more??!! give me a break, we are a solid team, we should play the way we know how to play and this time not even Milan will stop us, cause winning Coppa ITalia will pay back psychologically even it lacks that real importance locally.

FORZA INTER all the way

Tough draw and not unexpected with the luck we have. Eastern European away games are never easy but at least it wouldn't be as bad if we played them in January or something.

Inter must be wary of this team. I've heard they're one of the more ambitious clubs in all of Eastern Europe and a Nerazzurri scalp but would be a glorious achievement in their history.

I'll be on holiday for the 2nd leg so hopefully Inter does well enough in the 1st leg so I don't have to worry. ;)

Shakhtar Donetsk v Inter

The Nerazzurri, who finished third in Serie A last term, were hoping that today’s draw in Nyon, Switzerland, would be kinder but they’ve landed the Ukrainian giants.

don't worry :) :)
we'll beat them easily :D :D
i am confident of that

i believe in this team ... im sure we will beat em ... but it will be a difficult game ... but i cant wait to see Inter ... for the first time in 2005-2006 ... i think we should finish the job in Shakhtar ... beat em 2:0 than in Milan to defend the result

---------------------------- Toldo -------------------------------
Zanetti ---- Cordoba ---- Samuel (Matrix) ---- Wome (Favalli)
Stankovic ---- Cambiasso ---- Veron (Pizarro) ---- Solari
--------------------- ADRIANO ------------------- OBABOBA

So bad we have to face Shakhtar, imo it's even harder than an EPL team like Everton (We have a good record when played with English teams).
But hey, at least we need not to face Real Betis... :D

Guess what , we should have swapped with Liverpool considering the
European ban... :D Because the qualify rounds also count, therefore
Inter can still collect some gate income at group stage if we started from
the first round... (Right now our 4 bans will cover the whole phase of
qualify and group round)

This will be interesting. When are the dates for this game? Are we at home first of away? I think we will do fine but is just the crowd absence may influence. Well lets just hope the boys keep their head up.

Shaktar may have better match fitness, but I still believe the teams class will shine through. It will probably be close, but the club will move on. I'd be completely distraught otherwise.

Well, of course not the easiest opponent to face. We all know what they can do from last year's CL. We're screwed if we underestimate them and on the other hand if we can't respect them too much. They are a good team and we need a good preparation for these matches. But yes, we should win this if everything goes well. And really why wouldn't it go. More Figo transfer delayes, more unlikely he will move at all or atleast won't be in our CL-squad.

Will this be kept as matchtopic for the matches or..?

Seriously, when it's time to put your preferred line-up you see it. What the hell will we do with out midfield. So many options. But Helal, seriously your line-up looks worst. Pizarro and Veron playing with two defending midfielders would be offensive suicide again. 2 similar playmakers won't get a thing done in that line-up. Place Stankovic or Solari in plca of another or do what Mancio will do. Put wingers, playmaker and a holding midfielder.

Adriano - Cruz
Solari - Cambiasso - Pizarro - Stankovic
Favalli - Samuel - Cordoba - J Zanetti
Toldo

That is balanced, great midfield. We really have to choose between our 2 playmakers. :(
