I cant wait for this game it will be a great game
yeah..JZ would rape Lennon if he plays as a LB..but it would be a tough job for Chivu cause he is a CB and slow for a LB.
Benitez said that Santon can play also as a attacking winger... I liked Chivu against Cagliari but he may suffer Lennon that is really dangerous and fast.
I suggest to play with this kind of formation against Spurs:
----------------- Julio Cesar -------------
Maicon ----- Lucio --------- Samuel ---- Chivu
-- Zanetti --- Stankovic ---- Motta --- Santon
--------------------- Sneijder ---------------
-------------------- Eto'o ----------------
Rafa said also that Cuchu may come back against Tottenham,he would play instead of Motta.
I want see The Kid in action!
Excuse me, but I really don't think we are going to play as that, we are playing at home, that's an almost completely defensive minded formation
Most probable thing is Biabiany and Cou will start again, and Biabiany will have a lot of space to run, as this is a PL opponent, defenses aren't as shutted down as in Italy
Also, I guess we will see Capitano from the start but as a LB, the thing is, it depends of Cambiasso, if he plays, then Capitano should be LB, if not he should be on the midfield
This is going to be a difficult game either way, so I hope the prematch chat from Benitez really make them believe and make us all win 3 points
perika
off course no!
Davide santon
would be nice
With Motta,Stankovic,Sneijder,Eto'o we have 4 offensive players,Biabiany/Coutinho would not be a wise choice as opponent of Lennon/Bale,they would be butchered as hell on the midfield,so I think Zanetti/Santon is the right choice, especially Zanetti could cover as well Maicon when the brazilian attacks on the winger.
I wrote wrongly offensive players compared to Eto'o and Sneijder, but they are offensive midfielders that usually can contribute in the attack as you said. You count Stankovic, Motta as offensive players? In what world? The most offensive they are is that they can contribute in the attack, but by no means they are "offensive" players
Why the sudden change? (Compared to your reaction after the Cagliari match)I'm very excited of this match. In this one I don't care how we play as long as we win.
