What are the meaning of the big numbers? Pero 88 or Brozo 81? They are not the average of all attributes nor the highest/best attibute?

It's a weighted average. The six stats shown are the "core stats" of the player, but there are four-six other stats that compose those numbers. If you used a simple average all attacking players would be penalized for their lack of defensive abilities.

It's all nonsense really.

It's how good that player is in that position overall.
For a centreback having high defending will have more effect than high pace.
High pace and dribbling would increase your overall stat as a winger more than high defending would, for strikers shooting and dribbling have more weight than passing etc.

I’ve thought about a 4-4-2 diamond. Problem is Politano, Keita and perisic are better off as wingers. Moving them further back won’t help anything. But honestly it might be worth a try because as you stated, vecino and gags are both mediocre. And the alternatives are Valero, who’s career has expired, and Mario who doesn’t event want to be here. Why didn’t we just sign Vidal :fffuuu:

Gags-Brozo was our best midfield duo until Gags got injured last season. Since then Vecino hasn't shown anything close to his contribution, last game was even more obvious. The coach's insistence to start him seems baffling. I don't believe Vecino is that much better than Gags in training. This game should be his last chance to prove that this partnership can work.

The coach is a lot more forgiving than I it seems. I dunno, if we look past our quite understandable hatred for the man he's not a bad player by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just not comfortable with him being around the team after he showed his true feelings about the club. Not so much as an apology from him.

Regardless, I don't see him starting nor do I see him even coming on. I still believe Gags will partner Brozovic and Vecino will likely cameo at the end to kill off the game. Surely no need for Mario to feature.
