Inter to play a friendly against Bahrain national team?!

It has been announced here in Bahrain that Inter will play a friendly international against Bahrain national team in January to celebrate the 50th anniversary of founding the BFA.

The problem is that the news is all in arabic and there's no confirmation that from Inter's official website nor any other english websites of the news.

That article is seriously messed up. They got the names of Materazzi, Vieira and Crespo all wrong. One thing that bothers me is that the Bahraini FA initially tried to lure Barca, who appologised due to the club's participation in the WCC, so they opted for Inter instead..

Anyway, I'm still dreaming that Inter would make a visit to Egypt and take part in Al Ahly's centenary. A man can dream. :hopeful:

The game is on January 6th. Inter will be in Bahrain from Jan 2 to 7.

I'm just guessing here, but I'll let you know if anything is confirmed. Entrance will most probably be free, as it generally is in national team games. If they do have tickets they would be around $3, and you can get them at the entrance. The national stadium never gets full, or sold out, so no worries about getting in.

As for Barca being the first choice, that's only natural since they have a bigger fan base over here. I'm glad they went with the right choice at the end

Small countries who don't have good enough clubs to face teams like Inter, play with their national teams.

Weeks ago, Kuwait (the club not the country) played against Brazil.

After three months, Italy will face Kuwait (not sure if its the club or the NT) in Kuwait, and I'm going to that match too.

It also happened few years ago, when AC.Milan came to Kuwait. I remember that Shevchenko and his crappy team were in McDonald's . AC.Milan (0) - (2) Kuwait NT. A match I will never forget.

Ahly were reported tried since last year or so to be intitally sensing the possibility of the Italian giants (Inter, Milan and Juve) to be part of the Red's century festival, don't knwo if officially there will be or not
