What?! Ten days without an Inter game and I start shaking.
Yeah, exactly and IMO that's the reason why we've sold so many tickets for the game against SPAL - people just can't wait to get their fix.

nice - I like that 4-2-3-1 - I really don't want inter playing 3 in the back - seems like a recipe for disaster.

Will Miranda recover in time for the match?

GDS predicts this INTER (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda, Dalbert; Gagliardini, Borja Valero; Candreva, Joao Mario, Perisic; Icardi.

Is Vecino fatigued or...there is no other explanation for it...Gags is in merda form

maybe they don't want to completely destroy gagliardini's confidence. He should have fresh legs and I for one think he can play really well in a midfield with Valero and JM. Gags with Vecino and Borja doesn't work - Gags and Vecino are too similar.

No he isn't wtf. He wasn't even that bad against Roma, he just wasn't as good as Vecino/Valero. And that was mainly because Vecino was playing in his same position.

I still have a lot of faith in the lion

If I have to guess it's because Vecino gets back Thursday due to South American qualifiers so he'll have less time to train and will be more fatigued. Gagliardini can replace him

Finally, only three days to go.

This is the perfect game to integrate Dalbert in the starting lineup and hopefully restore Gagliardini's confidence, in a midfield battle where he can get the upper hand. He has seemed a little jaded, possibly due to his national team duties during summer. I also hope Karamoh will get a cameo appearance of a 20-25 minutes.

SPAL will probably use the approach they had away against Lazio in game one, keep men behind the ball, soak up pressure and hit us on the break. They will probably have Boriello and Paloschi up front and I don't trust any one of those two. For this reason I really hope we come out all guns blazing, to exorcise the demons of past home games aginst minnows, where we enjoy 65 percent possession, only to fall behind on their first attack after 75 minutes. We need to suffocate them in the opening 30 minutes by scoring at least once. Our passing from midfield is alot more vertical and with a higher momentum than in previous seasons, so I'm hopeful we can now break down teams that park the bus.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a 3-0 win. Let's make the Meazza a fortress this season.

Forza Inter

that transition happens during games...and you can flip it like a push of a button if it isn't working,no subs needed
however Spallo needs time to implement it in training...it doesn't happen over night, you need to drill it and perfect it...with planing

Gotta disagree bruh.

Obviously no one is saying Gagliardini is conclusively shit or is finished. I'm all for starting him to hopefully regain some form but I do think he's currently in terrible form. He was noticeably poor in the final few matches of last season, went away to the U23 World Cup where he was flat out bad. Then he came back and was one of our poorest players in arguably our best preseason in a decade, and looked completely out of sync for the first two matches of this new season.

As for what chillbro said about fresh legs, I'm not convinced. I'm not overly concerned either, but at 23 years of age, last season was the first where played 30+ games, that too in Serie A. Add the fact that he immediately went to the U23 World Cup, it's possible he's not used to this workload and is actually fatigued, never mind fresh.

Gags will be fine. I think the U-23 experience scarred him a bit and is in his head but his performance for Inter so far hasn't been miserable - its simply that him and vecino are too similar so both of them out there with Valero just don't work. I suspect that gags, Valero and JM would work great in a 3 man midfield.
