Why do you guys bash people who demands more? It’s normal as we had the easiest group by far comparing to the other groups and we are on top of our form… not mentioning by finishing second we’ll face the strongest teams, hence less likely chance to progress further.

On the other hand, it would be nice to challenge a big club as we had a relatively easy run last season.

This is incredible delusional

It’s much harder splitting the playing time up and play every 3-5 days then playing full time once a week. I think like most your underestimating the importance of rest and the importance of playing full time for you fitness level.

There is reason why it’s much easier to win a league if you don’t have to bother with midweek games. Should and could he have rested Martinez more last weekend sure that is a possibility, but it doesn’t equal he could just play him much different in this game and it actually would be the best decision from a fitness point of view. The teams has data on the individual players we don’t possess and those data are largely used to make those assessments. Also you overlook it’s actually important for your fitness to actually play 90min regularly because without doing so regularly you won’t actually hold up for 90min when it’s demanded of you on those rare occasion because you won’t actually have the stamina to do so, so there is a deeper meaning in why you see teams play their better players 90min even if the game is already won.

Porto and PSG europe league don’t make me laugh, Porto played up to Barca and just barely lost twice with one goal difference, they are an annoying team to play against and don’t allow many goals against them. They are exactly the sort of team we typically struggle against and we had that pleasure last year around where we just barely got past them with one goal, in that they are as annoying as the team that actually won the group and that we could not win over… Thank god we don’t have to face them again.

The easiest team are FCK, Leipzig and PSV but if you think those are walk over your just delusional.

Leipzig Is 4th in the Bundesliga, PSV won all their games in the Eredivisie they are not walk over teams no matter what you believe they are easier but it doesn’t actually mean you would actually do so. FCK that on paper should be a the weakest walk over teams in years, they still managed to take points from Bayern as the first team in the group stage for years, they beat a sorry ass United, there no walk over teams at this point. Again except PSV these parking the bus team something that aren’t what we usually thrive under.

We are better against teams that actually want to play. I much rather have Dortmund or Arsenal then
most of these, PSV is frankly the only team of second placed teams I’ll love to draw.
How about Copenhagen

How about Copenhagen

The problem with FCK is they park the bus and live on the counter attack and are excellent at just that. They are a rather weak team if you can force them to play more open football by scoring early on in the game, but it requires that you do so. It’s not exactly fun to play against them if don’t score early and your goalless at 70min or the first game ended goalless. But it would be a sensation if they aren’t out next round rather convincingly as they will now likely meet teams that have the tools to work in very tight spaces. But sure you want them over City, Bayern Or the Spanish teams, but I much rather have any German or Dutch or most english team to be frankly.

We are definitely out in the round of 16 unless we draw Dortmund or Arsenal.

Simone is precisely correct. You are not going to have everything go your way in a tournament of this quality. We are where we are. Someone is going to draw a nasty fucking side in Inter.

Worst would be City. But my expectation is for this club to win the cup. And to do that we likely must beat them anyway.

Too much wailing and gnashing of teeth here. Like children cowering under their mother's skirts. For myself whoever we draw the boys must find a way and I expect greatness.

real madrid played their last non-meaningful match already won the group. they had a lot of injuries too. yet they still play their most in form players rodrigo and belingham in that nonn-meaningful match with bellingham nursing ankle and shoulder injuries.
Real Madrid also has a better bench than we do and are not doing as good in the league as we are.

As long as we keep having clean sheets, I believe this team is destined for greatness

For greatness we need better bench. Sanchez, Arnautović suck big time!

atletico won vs lazio 2-0. both team played their strongest team. serie a not looking good after group qualification

so with less 1 day rest than us, lazio gonna play us. it’s only in simone head that we need to rotate in CL games.

It's almost like Lazio is 10th in Serie A or something.

IMO we stand a good change against most of these teams but not against City, Bayern and Real Madrid. We must hope we avoid them.
We played CL final last season and City was lucky to win that game. We are playing this season even better. If all of our starters stay healthy we shouldnt be afraid of anyone, even fucking City. I think our players now have right mentality and needed confidence. I see us right now as major pain in the ass to Real, City or Bayern if they get us in next round. Two seasons ago their chance to beat is would be 80-20%,now its 55-45%.

Lazio is not in the Scudetto race, the fundamentally only have the CL left, also Lazio been heavily criticised for over a decade of not prioritising european football tournaments

I honestly like to avoid a Thuram or Lautaro injury considering how bad Arnautovic and Sanchez are doing. I would have rotate even more but we don't have much options with Pavard Dumfries and De Vrij out. And honestly our bench is not that bad appart from the 2 strikers. Against Bologna in coppa i hope to see again some rotation.

The only teams i would not like to draw are these two + Real. Have you even watched them?

We can eliminate Barca, Bayern, City, even Real if we play our style and all key players are fit in form.
We proved last year what we are capable of, and we currently belong in top 10 without any doubt.

Why the fuck would we be scared to play anyone? This team is the strongest in Italy and continously brings trophies to the table for 3 years straight.

Should it take like 10 years to dominate to be even mentioned as a top team in UCL??

Noone wants to draw us or PSG in the knockouts, thats for sure

I'd like to come to the point where other teams are scared of Inter and not the other way around. Maybe that sounds a bit delulu, but I think Inzaghi will hype up the players no matter who we get.
