Contrary to what everyone thinks, we do have a game this weekend. :p

Parma aren't what they used to be, but they still give us problems and I have a feeling it won't be any different on Sunday night. The lineup shouldn't have too many changes from the last few games (excluding Coppa Italia)

We are playing Jube next week in the Coppa and I think Mancio will have that in mind and should try and play Ibra and Cuchu for an hour or so.

Parma dont look that difficult an opponent but we must not underestimate, it is in games like these that we can keep up our lead in the league and dishearten Roma..

Maniche should be available for this game, right?

Wondering if he'll play at all & where Mancini is gonna try him first..

Mancio should play a full squad this week against Parma and bury the result. Only if we're 3-0 up should he rest Cuchu, Ibra and the like.
Roma have a slightly tougher run than us between now and when the CL games recommence. He should be trying to stretch the lead as much as possible so he has the option of resting players just before CL ties later on. Coppa has no significance at the moment other than getting game time into the legs of guys that haven't played much.

Plus I want to beat a full strength JuBe in the Coppa without our regulars.....would make it all that much sweeter :D

I think the number one priority to be rested after the lead is Cucho..We are running short in his position and he is in blazing form.I will be disheartened if we dont have him for Liverpool..

No need to play Ibra and company in Coppa...We have been playing the youth in Coppa and should do it irrespective of the importance or the match

I think Parma will be trouble, but my fears are slightly allayed by the fact we're playing in San Siro. We should definitely play our best team against Parma until 3 points are in the bag. Then we can rest Ibra and Cambiasso. I don't really regard the Coppa match against Juve very highly so I don't really care if we play our youth players, which I believe Juve will be doing.

If I'm lucky, I'll catch this on TV.

I still remember the days when Parma used to be our boogey side. How times have changed, they have not rebounded from the financial trouble that has dogged them over the last few years whereas our fortune has changed so much since Mancini took us over. Combined with the fact that Parma's away form has been abysmal this season, I am demanding nothing less than an 8th consecutive Serie A victory from our side.

i prefer to use our 2nd string team against Parma and use our 1st team against Juventus in Copa Italia... we have a 7 point lead on Roma and the league is as good as ours

with our 2nd team we should be able to worst case scenario get a tie

The scudetto is IMO, our topmost priority now, with the CL coming a close second. I don't give a damn if our second string side lose to Juve's first team if it means that we get 3 points over Parma and extend our lead at the top. We need to get our lead as far ahead as possible before we meet with Juve, Milan and Roma again in the league.

Cl and scudetto are priority number 1. I don't care for coppa italia it's for the reserves and youths and besides it will hurt the old bitch worse when our second string beats them.

7 point lead isn't that big...there's still half a season left. If I am correct, we were leading 6 points when there were only 6 games left in 2001/02. :wallbang:

I'm sure Mancio will keep the big guys some time against Jube.

No way. What the fark is Coppa, even if Gobbi are our opponents. As I told before - I prefer to see how do SuperMario & Co get rid of Jube
