There was nothing wrong in thinking that. It was 50-50 at worse all the time. Problem is that too many thought we will not have any problems with them to the point Atletico was crazy underrated. I guess that's why so many are now angry and looking for victim(s) cause they taught this is job done, especially after that first leg, and we are just waiting for next opponent. They thought that just one scenario is an option here.

Still not finished listening new Inter Jection episode but I see there is a "Is Inter overrated?" chapter and I don't think it is despite this loss. We deserve every praise we got.

I think context is important, In serie a we aren’t overrated but in a broader European context we were definitely overrated or at least overestimated. I think people got way too carried away with our performance in a league with less strong teams and somehow forgot along the way that teams in CL play with very different budgets and can pick from shelves no teams in serie a is capable of picking from. Just look at what players they could field in contrast to us.

In a two game encounter it was never more than a 50/50, but wasn’t hard to get that was not a picture shared by many.

In some other universum under the same circumstances we got past Atletico and are one of three or four favourites for CL after City,Real and Bayern. This was realistic scenario and doesn't mean it was not just cause we got out. I saw better teams got knockout out on a big stage and that doesn't mean they were overrated. Leverkusen almost got out against Qarabag in EL,does that mean they are not good enough? And I can assure you it was not only us talking about how good this team is but we got recognition all over the Europe from a serious people following football. Of course what happened in some other universum under the same circumstances means shit now cause you have no result on the paper in CL to show. But don't disrespect this team cause we got out against Atletico. It happens. Maybe for us more than for some others but it is what it is now. To return next season stronger and accomplish more. We didn't won scudetto last year but CL run was that more in the end. Let's have the same mentality,goals,hunger and support now.

When we draw them I said it was going to be tough and close, we are good, but we are not City good. I just don’t think one should be disappointed about being kicked out by a team like this, had it been something like PSV it would be understandable but we are talking about a CL specialist with high degree of experience.

I have been saying from the start we would not realistically get very far, the CL knock off is one of the strongest in years and with our dept in squad and age of several positions it was always going to be a difficult challenge

To be honest we had more important opportunitys to score. In the first leg we could have won easily 3-0 and in the second we had 2 incredible chances to score. Saying that Atletico won because they have more experience, is wrong. We were just unlucky and wastefull. Theyre roaster is not better. They have more options upfront (Griezman, Depay, Correa, Morata), thats also why they were dangerous and scored at the end, while we could bring only Sanchez. But let's be honest, before Depays goal it could be easily 2-1 for Inter.

I seen Messi, Ronaldo, Salah, Haaland and co miss and they are far more prime goal scorer than Thuram is and ever will be, Thuram has never been a huge goal scorer

i agree that we didn't play well but tactically outclassed is exaggerated. We had a lot of chance, they were playing high and risked a lot. If we didnt score it's because we have wasted a lot. Tactically outclassed sounds like we were getting stopped from every side and the players could do nothing. But it wasn't. Before Depays goal we were still alive, but we were too stupid.
