The problem, even tho a win vs Napoli is great, it will be hard to win games against top teams if you ve never a controll in midfield.

I have to agree with .h.

I mean, there's a lot to complain, I understand that, but tonight I want to celebrate the 5th Serie A win in a row, and gaining two points over juventus and milan.

I'll join the trial against Conte tomorrow, now I just want to celebrate.

As I wrote before the match, Napoli are a force to be reckoned with.

We didn't deserve to win tonight, but tonight's luck makes up for other times when we were unlucky.

Brother Ive been celebrating scraps like today’s for the last 10 years, 5 wins streaks, 10 wins streaks you name it, however titles are won by teams that will not do what we’ve seen today.

What’s bugging me the most is we’ve champions that are capable of much more, rest assured that a team consists of Skriniar, De Vrij, Sensi, Hakimi, Barella, Lautaro and Lukaku can not possibly do any worse than what we’ve seen today.

Cunte has successfully achieved the impossible by bringing the very worst performance out of one if the best Inter roasters of the last 10 years.

These kinds of victories scare us, but they annoy all other opponents even more I think. We might have unwittingly fucked Napoli up quite a bit tonight.

I believe the only real contenders are Rube and less so us.

How many games we deserved to win we went on to lose this season? Certainly this game was ugly by us, but I hate people generalizing our whole season out of this game. Wake up, only Bayern has scored more goals than us in the top 5 leagues thus far.
I will be happy we made ground on Milan, Juventus, Napoli, Lazio, Sassuolo and Atalanta in one matchday and maybe all of you should.

Too many people forgot how we won scudetto with mourinho (thanks pazzini).

With the CL games still in mind and now add this the luckiest game ever, there is nothing generalizing about concluding Conte is failing, hard! Wake up!
Of cause we are happy and will take the three points, but this kind of play will not bring home the scudetto.

We won against 10 men Napoli while Juve and Milan both were dropping 2 points and our GK was MOTM.

That's prove that how Conte is a lucky coward.

You should be ashamed of yourself. How you posted the first sentence and came to the conclusion in the second sentence I'll never understand.

This is a forum. Do you want us to talk about how beautiful Conte’s hair was?

If you want to celebrate, go to the nearest bar and have a drink because you cant share a drink with a friend here in a forum. It’s a place to discuss the game, and we played a poor one with little to none positivity so I dont know what do you expect us to say.

When we bitch around, it doesnt mean we are not happy with the win, no Inter fans are unhappy with a win. Rather worried about the next one.

Ok but it seems natural to me to at least put 2 minutes of joy between the final whistle of a match we won, and the process to team/coach (coach in this case). :pazzini:

Besides, the numbers say there's some positive aspects, too.

It's one of those wins that somehow leave you feeling empty. We won and I'm glad we got the three points, but the problem is that we were lucky when we didn't need to be lucky. If you are playing against 10 men you can not give a clear signal that from now on all you are going to do is defend, and Conte did that.
All we ask is for fucking Antonio Conte to stop putting us in such situations when is completely unnecessary. Is that too much to ask?

The reason it feels empty is simple.

This is how small teams manage to scrap a result from a top side. It feels awkward when you're not supposed to be the small side. I get that people rejoice for the win, but that just shows how bad their mentality is and flawed their idea of what Inter's status in world football is.

A lesson that should've been learned from the Bologna game last season, 1-0 ahead and a Bologna player red carded...and we ended up losing that game. Yes, Bastoni got a red himself later, but it was already 1-1 by that point, so the momentum of the game turned at a point where we had an 11v10 advantage.

As it was, it looked like we were the ones playing 10v11 for the last 20 minutes.

In modern football, that kind of defensive changes almost never pay off. It was the most obvious thing to do up to the end of the 80ies (give or take), when football was still a "static" game.

Now everyone but the goalkeeper plays both in defense and in attack to some extent, and moves along a great part of the pitch for most of the match.

So if you put in a defender a few minutes after you had subbed off a forward, it only means the other team almost doesn't need to defend anymore.

So that was a mistake. We should have gone for the kill instead.

One of the most troll wins I've ever seen. Only saw the last 40 mins, but till the 50th minute the commentator said no shots on target by neither sides and looking the football at that moment I guessed how it was like. Both sides played for 0-0, zero risks. You can try something in attack but zero risks.

However we we get lucky, get a pen and Insigne loses his mind to the ref and gets a red. We score. And THEN we start to play like provincial side against a team with man-disadvantage I never understand. It's like everyone stopped understanding how they should position, what they should do. What they should try to accomplish as a team. Defence got absolutely wrecked few times. We got super lucky again when Politano can't finish, when Petagna can't finish from even better chance.

Of course Napoli starts attacking more aggressively, but oh man we should use the man-advantage better. Now we just threw that out, we didn't cycle the ball at all because players didn't run to find open spot. I never understand how that is possible from a team of Inter's caliber. Of Conte's team. We should have kept the ball, tire them down and just hit them when there's the opening and there will be if you are cycling the ball correctly and the opponent is pressing hard WITH MAN-DISADVANTAGE.

I am happy for the win but Conte’s substitution is terrible. Substituting Lautaro for Hakimi is as shitty as Icardi for Santon, luckily this time we didn’t pay for that. Even worse if you consider Napoli had only 10 men left and Petagna hit the post.

Totally agree, why wasn't we going for the kill? and secured a 3-0 win. That is how you remove/negate luck from the game, in my book.

I wouldn’t be as angry if Cunte’s subs and tactical changes after the red have actually done something right like containing Napoli’s attack or helped us have some possession, but quite the contrary, Napoli after the red had 5-6 real chances, 3 of them were impossible saves by Handa and one hit the post!! And what did we do with the “tactical “ subs?? Zero chance on target, 0% possession, nothing but embarrassment and shame, I was watching the last 20 minutes peaking through my fingers like a fucken pisquets for fucks sake.

Thanks God we are out of Europe, we’d probably storm out of the round of 16 with an embarrassing 6-1 or 5-2 humiliation vs some German or French second tire team with this fucken mentality.
