If we're going to play with Politano and Candreva on the wings then it should be Candreva on the right and Politano on the left. Candreva on the left is a disaster. Btw Sky predict Mario on the wing instead of Candreva which would be even worse. Mario can play only in one position. CM in a midfield trio. Either play him there or not play him at all.

Keita had played as a sub at Olimpico.

Now that Juventus lost, I can guarantee you we will properly bottle this.

After a few nice attacking moves in the opening stages of the match we'll concede against the run of play in the 15th minute with Handanovic standing still as a statue watching the ball slowly roll into the net.

Vecino will embarrass himself again doing nothing but accumulating a 62% passing completion rate while Nainggolan, who will replace Mario in the 70th minute, will still somehow be completely and visibly unfit.

Icardi will be sulking off at one end of the pitch with 4 touches of the ball and 3 missed passes in 80 minutes. Politano will take 9 consecutive corners straight at the near post marker.

Lautaro will be the only bright spark in the game and he'll equalise in the 82nd minute with a brilliant solo goal. Spalletti will then immediately take off Lautaro for Borja Valero and instruct the team to waste time until full time. Without Lautaro we'll spend the 30 minutes of extra time doing absolutely nothing, with zero chances created, and then we'll go out on penalties with Icardi missing the crucial pen.

With Roma, Napoli, Juventus knocked out, we will not get a better chance to win the Coppa Italia. It would be good for the whole Inter community to get a trophy after so many terrible years.

Just don't fuck it up, please.

We SHOULD be better than all 3 teams left. But knowing our mentality and the crap that's going on in the dressing room, it's not bright.

Juddging by a current form Atalanta is the strongest team right now. If we play like against Torino or Sass, Lazio will get us destroyed .

Maybe I have a "rubbish bin" where my football heart should be, but I really enjoyed yesterday's Rossinian crescendo, all in a few hours: first Roma facing another historic 7-1 defeat, after putting high expectations on the Coppa Italia (courtesy of a vintage Chiesa, while Di Francesco didn't resign and the magician Monchi asked the fans for forgiveness), and then Juventus already saying goodbye to their self-proclaimed Triplete ambition (Cancelo set the tone, while more concern emerged for the Bianconeri and a slight hysteria hit the Juve Italian fanbase & media). That's music.

That being said, let's not end - typically - on a disturbing note tonight.
There's a potential double concert at "La Scala del Calcio" we don't wanna miss.

I looked back at the paper, then double checked. I failed to see how is that possible with players like Gagliardini, Valero, Vecino, a winger Joao Mario and Dambrossio are on the paper.

Tell me about it. Imagine if that predicted christmas tree lineup is correct. Relying on Joao Mario and Politano to orchestrate our offense, the two least threatening offensive players I've ever seen in our shirt. I'd rather play 4312 with Valero as AM and play Lautaro up front in a 2 striker system.

Never believed I'd say that but I'm grateful that we have J. Mario back in the squad.

Just imagine the current situation without him partially redeeming himself, we'd be basically left with a midfield of Gags, Valero, Brozovic and Vecino... i.e. with one midfielder. ONE.

So yeah, could've been worse, like seeing Candreva in his spot there. Some of the predicted lineups even had him as a Perisic sub in a 4-3-3. Speaking of formations I'm somewhat puzzled why aren't Politano's and Mario's places swapped. If I'm not mistaken Politano is originally a natural left-winger, being left-footed and Mario played RW for the Portugal team most of the games at the Euro's right before we bought him. Cause Christmas tree this thing is surely going to widen in attack, considering out total inability to attack through the middle...
