Tell me about it. Imagine if that predicted christmas tree lineup is correct. Relying on Joao Mario and Politano to orchestrate our offense, the two least threatening offensive players I've ever seen in our shirt. I'd rather play 4312 with Valero as AM and play Lautaro up front in a 2 striker system.

Valero as a trequartista is so stupid that it could probably work.... for the first 45 minutes.

I wonder if Spalletti has ever played a 4-1-2-1-2 formation because replacing Politano with Lautaro could actually work.Gags does dirty work and doesnt bombard forward at all which allows Brozovic and Valero to play with a bit more freedom and especially Brozo who could do with not having to put in the work of a DM.Could suit Wow Mario too.

I thought some of his best matches were the first halves of games as AM last season before Rafinha took that spot. This season here and there too. Generally he's been very serviceable as a Brozovic sub this year.

He makes some good passes into space to keep our momentum going (see our derby win vs Milan in October) but there's something just too soft about his game. Even with his clever passing and ability to keep the ball and attacking momentum going, there's a reason he has like 2 assists in 50 games for Inter. He's never been that final ball guy, whether a final ball to assist or to finish off an attacking move. He simply doesn't have that incisiveness in shooting, dribbling, passing or movement that better attacking mids possess.

Considering the lack of options in this current squad, I'd still start him as AM from now.

We played great games vs Napoli, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, and Lazio but shit the bed vs Chievo, Atalanta, Torino etc, so this team is as unpredictable as it gets. Optimistic because Lazio gets pretty rattled in big games.
