this will be the lineup that will be fielded in 2 days as well... if we win.... oh and the one against Fiorentina.
I'm generally on the "trust-Inzaghi"-wagon, but this is not viable.
Especially with the kind of schedule we're currently in the midst of. I don't know if it's because Inzaghi is feeling the pressure or what, but what happened to the coach that basically played third string against (and I know, it's not the same level of opposition) Salernitana?
"Prestige", "money", "trophy" (and I certainly won't discount the Supercoppa trophy as useless as some seem to do on here, and I was disapointed we lost to Bologna in the coppa more than I saw it as an advantage) - certainly all viable variables to try and win every match, but in the grand schemes of things, you can't just look at the one match ahead of you and field your, on paper, strongest eleven all the time. In the end, that'll almost certainly lead to you not being able to win every match in the long run.
I don't even want a total turn-around, but you
have to sprinkle in some reserves (one league start for Frattesi, for instance, is disgusting) here and there.
If anyone, the man who saw his on-paper Scudetto-favorites lead the league and then burnout in Winter 2022 certainly should have been the one to learn his lesson. Seems he hasn't.
Very, very worrying if the tactic - or lack thereof - from now untill sommer regarding squad rotation is to just keep betting on his 11 strongest horses untill they drop dead.
