This was not surprising even against weak teams we concede and every single one of us here said that Naga medel and melo and rannochia, palacio suck. We have been changing coaches like crazy and nothing changes, perhaps its time for the managment to know that some players should leave. Our starting lineup is not bad at all but our subs suck and that is a problem in el + lets remember deboer didnt even get a preseason, the sitaution he is in its very difficult he has to learn from the matches and that takes time. We will do well with Juventus I am sure.

- - - Updated - - -

I wanted to also say our movement off the ball and decision making process with the ball is terrible and to change that you need time to impose a style and allow the players to implement it and the tricky part is our only way of experimentation is in official matches. I hope Inter give deboer time and we as fans show patience as we have always done for our beautiful club.

If we have a disastrous game vs Juve, the pressure on fdb will be insane. They've now played what, 4/5 games after this juve one, only so long this no pre season and no fitness excuse will cut it.

No, not everyone.

I remember someone was defending Nagatomo and Ranocchia just before the game, I mean after all, they were Japanese Roberto Carlos and new Nesta.

I don't believe we will have a disastrous game vs juve,we will field our best squad and I hope this loss provides them with an incentive to play their best. The pressure on FDB will always be immense, he is coaching Inter a big club in Italy that is hated by most of the media. It is something he knew. We shouldn't care what they say the media is always trying to pit us against each other. Its an not an excuse but it is the situation we find ourself in the management messed up, I refuse to judge FDB when this wasn't even his squad choice neither and this a different league and he's forced to play two different squad for EL and the serie A and our squad B is terrible. A win against juventus will fire us up I am sure.

I really, really and honestly don't want to sound like a smart ass with this, because there's nothing smart in what I've said in the first place. I was just stating the obvious.

Just because they are Inter players, it doesn't mean that they should automatically get a better rating than other teams. That 'd grade' team has just comfortably and deservedly won 2-0 in Milano, and they'll win again if a re-match is played. Our rotation/bench players would not be able to play for most clubs in Europe. Players like Palacio and Nagatomo won't find any club in Europe to sign them (and their high salaries), and they will just go back to their native countries and retire in their hometowns.

Now what are those players doing in a club like Inter is beyond comprehension.

My god, glad I decided to sleep instead of watching this atrocity. At least it is fun to read your commentaries.

If there's one thing to hold on to, it's that a lot of these guys were playing for the first time in DeBoer's system. I think I'm right in saying that it was the first minutes of the season Biabiany, Brozovic and Melo. Eder was playing as lone CF for the first time and Palacio out on a wing.

The current system is completely different to what they're used to (or what they were bought for) - you can't expect them to come in a dominate. That said, the perceived lack of effort and the responses after the game are a real concern.

Except it's not the players who get criticized the most, but De Boer, because he's the one that puts them to play

That's why we're getting Capello rumours as a replacement for De Boer already

You honestly believe that Capello would do better with players like Palacio and Nagatomo?

I'm taking a sickie today. This abomination has ruined my day.

Champion mentality. I wish I'd thought to do the same. Make sure to have a halal snack pack for lunch.

I don't know what people expect from DeBoer. That was his 5th game as Inter manager this year - the squad had eight in pre-season under Mancini! If these rumours are true and the club is seriously considering replacing him already, then it may go down as one of the worst decisions in the clubs recent history.

I feel like he's been set up to fail. No preseason, a philosophy completely different to that of his predecessor, no experience in the league, a squad with great top-end talent but a serious lack of depth - how could anyone reasonably expect him to be an instant success?

In the end it's not what you or I think, in the end it's what management thinks

And no, I think Nagatomo shouldn't be used as a wingback in a 4 men defense, because he can't defend, I remember he was being linked with Real Madrid some years ago, but that was before Coentrao I believe (when Nagatomo was at his best version)

Also Palacio has been declining with the age, but that was expected for him

Lenny, your thoughts are very clear, but you should add to the list that there are only few players that can be suited right away to De Boer's possesion football, because those aren't the strenghts this squad have

If we had De Boer a year ago when we sold Kovacic to Real Madrid (according to some websites the worst most expensive signing of 2015) he could have played him as a Regista, leaving banega with a lot more freedom now, and things would look different, but we don't have the players for him

He chose a challenge, but this challenge is proving to be more complicated than what he surely expected

Well that's true. Given the clubs past treatment of managers, he/we can't really be surprised at the cut-throat environment he's in.

we lose against small and unknown team which means we were garbage last night.

what about considering other obvious and blatant factor like FDB only have less than one month to prepare and do everything? the result probably would have been different if he had been 2 or 3 months here.

everyone is mad and dissapointed but it's only 1st game. going apeshit doesnt seem to make much sense.
