on a note about ESPN, I had given up for years. I knew they simply will never show Inter games unless we are playing agaisnt an English club...doesnt have to be a great one either. Hell if Bolton made the CL and we play against them, I am sure ESPN will show it ahead of for example Valencia v Roma.

I totally hate espn. Not only do they show the worst of games involving English sides...but even the commentary is woeful and 100% pro-English. I remember the first game between ManU and Roma last year...for each goal that Roma scored, the commentators were speaking all about how the Manu defence conceded. And for goals scored by Manu, the went ga ga over the beautiful play.

And in most games, you can clearly hear the commentators shouting and cheering for the English sides with comments like - I hope Lpool do not conceded in the next 20 mins..it is a very important period for them to go through..... :yuck:

The way you describe ESPN its just the same for us here in the UK, with out Channel 5 football italia...
John Barnes a former liverpool star often commentates....and my god, its such a drag to hear..such pro EPL football.

"in England we don't defend like this..."
"We often put it much more crosses into the box which is much better..."

Damn them!
Tho' I just put some music on, and enjoy the high quality match =D!

His mom is Croatian.. So your speculations fails directly. I dont mind you speculating.. but DO try to get your facts right before you speculate..

He never actually played for Bosnia.. Hes been playing in the Swedish Youth teams. His uncle talked about him maybe trying out for the bosnian team when Zlatan was visiting relatives in Bosnia, since he didnt receive a callup for the Swedish "A" team until 2001.

"Product of Bosnia" How do you become a product of a country that you only visit very sporadically? If he is born and raised in Sweden going to Swedish schools playing footie in Swedish youthteams, being a part of the Swedish society then by all accounts he is a product of Sweden.. Like it or not..

It really cant be looked at in any other way..

If you say hes Bosnian your wrong. He is Swedish with Croatian/Bosnian origins...

Given that I'm a Bosnian myself, I'm sure I know a bit more than you about this. This is like me, trying to convince you something about an Italian player. Don't make an ass out of yourself. The reason why I said both of his parents are Bosnian is because they lived in Bosnia before the Yugoslavian revolutionary war, and because of that I consider them both Bosnians. It's the way how things worked in the old Yugoslavia, and I don't expect you to understand that.

I know for a fact that he tried for the Bosnian youth team before ever trying out for the Swedish NT. Bosnian federation thought he had no talent, you can tell in how deep shit our football federation is. It's as if they choose players who they have some sort of relationship with, the management, it's pathetic.

The Swedish press denies that Ibrahimovic ever tried out for Bosnia, for the fact that it makes them and Ibrahimovic look bad, I believe. I don't certainly know why and currently Ibrahimovic is playing their ball game for the reason that they actually gave him a spot in their NT.

I don't watch ESPN, I hate their biased commentators and the games they show. As someone here has pointed out earlier, it's all Pro-English. If you live in the states however, they still show great games on a different channel. Espn Deportes. It's on Comcast channel 609. Yes, it's in Spanish, but last matchday they showed Dynamo vs Real Madrid and before that.. Fenerbahce vs PSV as well as Inter vs CSKA. If you can sit through listening Spanish for 2 hours, give it a shot.

The reason why I said both of his parents are Bosnian is because they lived in Bosnia.

You have been owned.. crawl back.

Since both parents (regardless of where they are from) now live in Sweden, then by your own standards, they are both Swedish.

So not only is Ibra, whos been born and raised in Malmoe, Sweden Swedish, but his parents are also fully and 100% Swedish. Not only on paper with citizenship and all.. but also by Your standards. :)

I have been owned? Haha! :lala:

You don't even understand my standards to begin with. You're just shooting around with your eyes closed.

You won't get nowhere by disecting my posts, taking it out of context, and using it against me.

In Yugoslavia, everybody spoke the same language. How can you compare my standard for the Yugoslavian 'states', with that of Yugoslavia and Sweden? :dielaugh:

Like I told you in my previous reply to you, I do not expect you to understand that. Now, I feel like you can't even if you wanted to.

Before the Revolutionary Yugoslavian War, Yugoslavia had states. Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, and some others. Much like United States has California and New York, for example. Now tell me, if a Californian born player lived in New York.. wouldn't he actually been considered a New Yorker? Of course, if both California and New York were to be separated (at that time) from the United States, and be their own Countries?

In my opinion, u r both wrong. It doesn't matter that much if you r grown up somewhere, but what you feel you are. That is the most important thing for sb to choose his nation.

Ok.. So now he is not Bosnian? He is Yugoslavian? Which is it?

The states broke free from Yugoslavia because they wanted to be separate states, i seem to remember a bloody war, now you say that they really feel like they all belong together? Please educate me cause i have problems following your logic here...

If i interpret this correctly then Norwegians and Finns really are Swedish since both Norway and Finland has been apart of Sweden in the past?

And your example of a Californian born player moving to New York.. i dont get it at all?? Ibra's born in Sweden..So i guess you're not referring to him? And if you mean his mom and dad by that example.. its not like any of them got a footballing contract in Sweden.. They made a choice in leaving Yugoslavia, Croatia, Bosnia or whatever (at that time) to come live in Sweden and becoming Swedish citizens.

This is getting to farfetched.. You cant claim that a guy that has a Croatian mom a Bosnian dad that both moved to Sweden and has lived there for 30+ years as Swedish citizens and that is born in Sweden, raised in Sweden gone to Swedish schools and footie teams and whatever is a Bosnian..?? Thats just crazy...

Someone posted that the important thing is what you yourself feel about your nationality. And it seems to me he's made his choice.

You shouldnt try to respond to this.. it only makes you look kinda dumb... i dont want to argue with dumb people cause eventually i'll get dragged down.. And that sucks..

Like I said, addo. It's up for speculation, and I don't expect you to understand my point of view for this. I can't teach you old Yugoslavian values. I really don't think you'll understand, even if I do.
