I agree with everything you said apart from create portion.

I am really tired of our strikers missing sitter after sitter after sitter. This game, Sassulo, and carpi we all shouldve won by multiple goals but our finishing has been pathetic. Our strikers need to get their shit together because we're nowhere near as clinical as we were earlier in the year

total control and domination for 85 minutes, then shit your pants mode. it's ok to wear diapers, but not when you're 1-0.
we could've scored more, icardi hit the post, but their keeper had some good saves.
i liked the fullbacks for a change. palacio starting and being slow is most of the time missleading - he creates space and has good vision overall.

I liked Eder. Very enthusiastic. Hopefully it's not just a beginner syndrome

when you playing at home, you can not substitute an attacker with defender. this mentality wrong !
when juan came in we fall back and chievo could've been scored, hopefully we were lucky in last 5 min.

we can not score the 2nd and this is big problem.

But we didn't. We've been saying 'if's and 'coulds' all season and it's simply not enough to base our seasons fortunes on. We can win every game 1-0 if Handanovic makes eleven miraculous saves per game? Ridiculous. I'm not disputing your points as I couldn't even bring myself to watch this match, just trying to explain the 'negativity' you mention - which from my viewpoint, seems more like very warranted and legitimate concern. From what I've read here, this match could have gone the way of Carpi / Sassuolo again. I know I've just done a 'could' but we continually make things so difficult for ourselves with our constant defensive lapses, lack of attacking plan, and inability to create, let alone score, that any 'consistency' always reveals itself to be misleading.

But to use your own logic, it could have gone the way carpi/sassuolo went, but it didn't. This 1-0 was different from most of the 1-0s because Handa did not have to make a single save (even when they were pressing hard), and we bossed pretty much the entire match. Hence I don't understand the negativity from anyone who saw this particular match.

For me the good moving and positioning of Palacio and Eder made the game more fluidly for us. Also i don't underestimate the hard work which Kdog did in the midfield. On my view this is maybe his best performance till now. He was determined and clam like real leader.
And i think this 4-3-3 works much better for us than 4-2-3-1. This additional man in the midfield lifts the pressure off form the others when they are pressed hard. If we assume than Icardi and Eder will be the starters in that system, i'm worried for the last one, cuz Palacio is too old to be regular starter. The only name comes in my mind is Ljajic's one. Jovetic seems too selfish and isolated from the game and Perisic is predictable player - always looks to go on the wing, to make a run and to cross the ball. He can't offer something different than operating on the wing.

That is one way of looking at it.

IMO in the last 5 minutes Chievo would have attacked like crazy anyways. They were waiting for that, its what small teams do when they are losing 1-0. So maybe it was not such a bad thing that Inter had an extra defender when that happened?

Yeah as Chievo threw on more attackers I didn't see bringing Juan on as a terrible move. Especially as we had 3 forwards on at the time in Palacio, Ljajic and Icardi.

Why is it that opposition goalkeepers tend to have career defining performances against us? WTF?!

Yep, this guy Seculin was amazing really. Even the world class keeper that Handa is this season, I'm sure he'd leak at least one more.

Most of the shots weren't placed ideally, but were from really close range and very powerful, so this guy really had some cat like reflexes.

IIRC that was his debut for Chievo.

We must get Seculin, he is free in June and use him in Coppa etc, we must finally free Carizzo and invest in young GK, Fantastic match for Seculin MOTM for sure!

Actually that would be good. He could be a good sub-GK.

Dude is 25, why would anyone want, for him to rot on our bench? It's not like we don't have promising young GKs, like Belec in our roster.

So did anyone else see how Cesar fouled Icardi in their PK area and then Spolli stepped on Icardi on purpose
Straight PK and a red for Spolli
Yet the ref did nothing...
